That would make more logical sence. I don't understand how a chip would protect from a hard battery short (torn wrap)

Lemme know how ya like it, when ya receive yours :p

I got one of my replacement chips today in the mail. Same "rugged" edges (not fully sanded) like the chip that came with my mod but the rest of the module looks in better shape. It seems/feels to be outputting slightly more voltage than the previous, guessing due to better solder job. Still testing for battery cuttoff though

Gonna experiment with mine when I receive it. Its honestly my first Mech-like mod. Kinda excited hah

Nice. Just be aware of all the same precations as a mech. You need to know battery saftey and how to keep an eye out for any possible issues.

This is my second "mech", next to a brass 4nine another member kindly sent me. After using the 4nine in 350 mode, I was on a hunt for another really short 350 mode mech. Would have got the smpl, but seen enough horror stories about bad quality clones, and the "side button" for the atto really caught my eye. Glad I made the purchase. - edit to add - the one "feature" that really sold me tho was the chip having a battery low cuttoff. Wasn't sure what chip manufacturer actualy had the feature but figured I'd land on one eventualy.

yep, did some research prior to this, had a good understanding of ohms law already. What I need is a better gauge of how to determine when your battery needs to be charged.

I have this same issue ;) I like to know EXACTLY when to stop using a battery so I don't over discharge it. Alot of people rely on "how the quality" of vape, but I like solid numbers. I ordered one of these when I got the 4nine and helps me keep peice of mind, but it does not work on the atto due to the reversed battery orientation and chipset.

Not sure if its worth investing in a voltage meter for this, seems to be a bit of a hassle to remove / reinstall your battery to test its voltage. I'm going to try and go by "quality of vape" factor and see how it is.

The volt meter I was semi explaining works on majority mechs, just not the atto. ;)

Typically you'd just screw it on the mod like an atty and just fire the mod, the voltage output displays on the screen :)

I'm going to assume that if you have a more "recent design" chip, it probably has a cutoff similar to this sxk version.

Just received this. Wow is it small. With the 18650 extender tube it's the same length as the dani extreme 18350.

Had a 1.1ohm (26g spaced kanthan) build in the serpent mini already. According to calculations at 4.1v (where my Samsung 25R is at right now) I should be getting around 15W at 3.7A.

The Vape feels okay. Kinda underpowered with the current resistance.

Def, just threw a new build in the serpent mini, 24g kanthal 7-8wraps 0.61ohms. Vaping alot better than the 1.1ohm build. This mod is just small, loving it.

Funny tho, whenever the coils pop I flinch thinking its the batteries...I guess it takes some time getting used to the mental barrier. Quick pic, paired with serpent mini is just the t-i-t-s
