I have the same awful taste with tawa. Janty atty doesn't give that taste even it's left dry. I found that after that tawa has to be cleaned and keep wet all the time.
I'm dripin' and I modified the mouthpiece in the way I cut down 3-4mm from the end near the heating element and additionally cut out a piece from flat side to avoid touching it.

Can't edit!

Both attys has 2.5 ohm resistance!

[I was unable to use my attys because of the horrible taste. I put them in a small glass, covered them with isopropyl alcohol (isopropanol or Rubbing Alcohol), put them in the microwave and microwaved them on high for about 20 seconds. I brought them to a boil several times in the microwave, then let them soak for a while. Then I rinsed them in warm water, blew them out and let them dry overnight. The next day, they were much better, and after using them for a while the bad taste was gone.

I would not put metal in the microwave

yeah but ego sets dosent have one... it came with a set ... i guess i will just go to local shop and turn it in .. will let ppl who sold one to me try to vape throw it. i still have 3 months warranty on it
They could have accidentally given you an LR atomizer in the set. Those sets are put together by hand, and you can't always tell the difference between an LR and a regular atomizer by looking at them.
