I could really use one of those... Any plans on posting a how-to on it?

Hadn't thought of doing that. I guess I could post a proper schematic. There were really only two tricky parts to it... Making sure the banana jacks were the correct distance and square so that I could "bridge" any two (except diagonally) with a dual banana plug. And... cutting that damn C cell battery connector and mounting it.

I suppose a parts list with costs would be useful. Most everything is stock rat shack parts, except for the PVC sleeve and the connector for the atty.

Maybe soon....

I should also post a how to on using a standard AT type computer power supply for a 5V source. But I think someone has done that already.... Gee, how do you search with 5V as a search term? The forum system says its too short.

Ralph...Hats off to you man! I've never even considered something like this but I'll be building one now! Thanks for sharing!

Right on. The nice thing it lets you get your meter IN the circuit. Its pretty darn hard to tell what the battery voltage is under load or how much current is moving thru the coil without a test set. And its really very simple. No real magic here. Connectors, a few switches. thats it.

One thing that is very important... the integrity of your soldering and wiring. Lean towards larger wire and avoid cold solder joints!
