I am a super noob, never touched a vape item and I claim no expertise.
however, I noticed a few peole referencing coke cola for cleaning thier attys.
I could see that as a possibility because coke contains an acid that woudl eat away at many materials.
Vinegar is also an acid. pure water is neutral, and "Baking soda or bleach is basic. even dish soap is basic.
perhaps a ten minute soak in vinegar, then a dip in 3 tbl spoons baking soda dissolved in water to stop the acid from damaging the material composition of the atomizer? I will have to experiment with these ideas when I get a crappy atty to work on.
Ill keep you informed, and if you guys try it first let me know how it worked.
:)

I've been cleaning atty's for almost a year and finally came up with key to good atty's:

buy lot's of them and when they fail, trash 'em and put a new one on.

I know where you are coming from and my response is only frustration of what I and many others have gone through.

I have never had any measurable success compared to the time/effort it takes to try and revive these things.

I'm not sure if other suppliers offer volume discounts, but Pure Smoker has them for under $5 each if you buy 25. I would have to go through 1/day to equal what I would pay for analogs, but I have gone through a couple of them in the last month or so.

I'm sure you will find tons of posts on atty cleaning here, enough to make your head spin.

I'm not trying to discourage you in any way. I'm just sharing my experience and trying to give you a heads up on the future.

Good luck and welcome aboard.

I dont clean any more. too many failures. Just like Panderson said,

I never found it really helped to clean them.

The most I do at times is use a little alcohol to wash them out if I want to change flavors drastically. Dont soak just rinse out and rinse with a little water and dry out.

Basically I think you're better off not doing anything to them.

just stock up on quite a few.

yeah from what ive read its the pepole cleaning them that seem to have more problums then the ones that dont .. I think the worse thing you could do is a dry burn the coil needs to stay moist to keep it from over heating and killing the coil..IMO
that's because theres no problems when you toss them in the trash. lol
but if you want to find a way to make it last a bit longer instead then you have a problem worth mentioning.
and what is dry burning?

This is dry burning. If an atty can take this than I don't think a few hits here and there with no liquid in a cartridge is going to upset it any.
