i don't think i'd recommend it. at least not with soap personally, i use distilled water and get that hot. most times i don't even bother cleaning. just blow it out every so often and keep it wet

I clean mine for 12 minutes in an ultrasound cleaner with distilled water. To me, if this doesn't clean it enough, its time for a new atty.
BTW, cleaning for 2 hours in an ultrasound cleaner will cause the paint to bubble with water under it, & peel off.

Ask me how I know, lol.

91% rubbing alcohol will cause the paint to come off in an ultra sonic also Penner. I just cleaned a couple black one's for my daughter's friend. She wanted stainless anyways so I suggest she bring me a couple and I'd show her how to get er' done!

I have cleaned 3 attys in boiling water and dishwasher liquid.
It made all 3 perform worse.

Ultrasonic did remove the last of the white paint on one old atty.
