it doesnt take very long to take them apart and wash by hand. I use regular old dish detergent on my pyrex tanks and delrin end caps then I give em a good rinse and dry with a clean towel.

As far as the atties go. I would think you would get te best results from boiling in distilled water and letting air dry for 24 hours like we do with cartomizers.

Is there a particular reason to use distilled water?

The idea behind all of this is to remove all traces of fabrication residues (oil, organic remains, ...) before the first use.

Distilled is just considered cleaner, with fewer contaminants inside like chlorine and other sediments like calcium which would be bad for any atomizer. Some people like to use a high proof vodka in addition to distilled water.

I use Deer Park and have had it tested by those people who come inside to test your tap water. The tester was surprised at how clean it was.

How many do you have that you need to consider using a machine to clean them all?
   (I already have 4 and expecting a shippment of 6)

Its just too easy to rinse and clean them by running them under warm water, why the dishwasher?? LOL
Less work and much better results (well I hope so!)

and I already have an ultrasonic cleaner for the atty...

I'll give a try with 1 piece, and will let you know the result (my shippment should arrive tomorow)
