What's the deal with "Low Resistance" attys? Are they better than Standard?
And how does ohm affect vaping?

Side reference note: Using around 3.7 volt.

Low Resistance are for use with lower voltage units(3.7). Low Resistance refers to the ohm rating. But alot of LR atty's are fairly inconsistent. A LR atty on a lower voltage unit simulates a higher voltage at a standard resistance....

3.7 volts is about as high as you want to go with a LR atty. Also the seem to drain my Riva batteries faster.

LRs are awesome.

They produce more and warmer vapor and throat hit. I love them.

They also short out and kill your batteries dead dead dead with no warning whatsoever. I hate them.

I'm buying a ProVari next month.


LRs will spoil you and then make you cry.

The more power battery sends to the coil the more juice that can be vaporized.
power = watts
More volts = more watts = more hit and smoke.
Lower ohms = more watts = more hit and smoke.

Using more watts will also drain your battery faster.

LR attys are great. As others have said, they give you good TH and warmth in vapor. The problem with them is that the coil can pop fairly quickly. Which is the only problem with them IMO. They also draw a lot of power and drain your batteries faster. Especially 1.5 ohm atomizers.

If your using a mod then get some AW IMR batteries which are better equipped to handle LR atomizers. They will give you a more consistent vape and will not drop in power as quickly as protected batts.
