Need help. It feels like I'm sucking air through a stir stick. This is a new development. Just can't seem to draw any air through my atty.

I've got an eGo battery, 510 atty with a drip tip. If it's any help, I'm using Tasty Vapor juice, 12mg, 100%PG but mixed with 60/40 doubler. I don't have exact quantities as I've been eyeballing it.

I flush my atty out every night with hot water. I've soaked in vodka once. And for these, the atty has almost 24hrs to dry out.

Secondly, how does one know when an atty is on it's way to being done? Is it a sudden failure? Or is there a dropoff in vapor and flavor?

I think they can fail either way - slowly or quickly.

You tried blowing it out really well? I find the tube type attys hard to clean and even a bit hard to blow out. I had 901's and it was practically a sealed compartment around the coil. You could try some Joye or Cisco 306 standard or LR attys. They are smaller those and need a different drip tip that goes on the outside of the atty. I find them easier to blow out.

You could also try a dry burn if you have a spare atty. Dry burn also has a risk of killing the atty but it might get dried on gunk off the coil. Buy some more attys.

And which flavor are you vaping? I think ones with oil-based flavorings in them tend to gunk up my attys faster (some oil-based flavorings are cinnamon, almond, some citrus flavorings and some others)

Take a closer look at the bottom of atty. Is there a rubbery thing that is blocking the 2 small holes in the thread? If so it is going to be hard to get it to work again. At best for me its 50/50 shot to fix. I rinse with hot water then soak mine in 100proof vodka for 24 hrs then rinse with hot water. let it dry and hope that rubber thing shrinks back a little. Like I said its 50/50 for me. If that don't work, I take a tiny drill bit and start drilling gently. make hole a little bigger. Kinda helps but for my problem its not a permanent fix.

Well, I followed HighPing's method of cleaning an atty.
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-my-atty-resurrection-method.html#post1032570

I've been vaping 2 flavors (dripping interchangably (sp)): Geoff's Mix (good god this stuff's addicting) and a tobacco/cherry cola mix (surprisingly, didn't like the taste of tobacco).

AG, I don't have any holes in the thread of the atty. The holes are above the thread, but below the base of the atty.

Thanks for your help guys.
