Here is the details. I use the Joye Ego with a LR atty along with 100 percent PG juice. I am currently using the straw mod but it seems to be doing it even when I just use filler alone. The juice is leaking through the bottom of the atty and it is getting all over the rim of the battery along the seem where it connects the two together. Anyone experience this? what can I do? thanks!!!

Not familiar with 901's or 510's, but I've used 801's exclusively. Overfilling is one cause, improper wicking is another (too compressed or too flimsy) but the biggest 'fix' could be you method of draw. If you pull hard you're pulling excess juice, the atty can't efficiently vaporize it=flooding and leaking. Long, gentle pulls. More vapor? Longer pull, not harder. I think the 801 is probably the most touchy about this. It's the biggest, bigger mess! Will short out batteries, depending on your PV.

ditto on kate's comment. I have the same set up, but usually my juice has a bit of vg, pg is very runny. Seems 95% of my leaks came from too little filler, or poorly positioned filler (I use the adm mod with fluval). Once I got the right amount of filler I haven't had a leak. Also, because I too fill them up a little too much, as soon as I get the freshly filled cart assembled I take a few quick drags with the unit pointing slightly upwards. Not sure if it does anything, frankly, but I figure if I can get that first ml or so vaped up it should prevent excess. I think the proof is in the pudding: since "getting it right" I leave my ego sitting with the cart in the air, on the flat top of the battery over night, and between vaping. I still haven't had a leak or flooded atomizer since.

I like that the cone kinda' keeps the juice leaks contained, even more so if you wrap a little teflon tape on the cone threads.

Pg is thinner than VG and will leak easier. I use (more or less) a blend 55% VG/ 25% PG/ 20% flavor, it's thicker.

For what its worth, my "formula" for reducing flooding of a 510 atty works like this:

I use a "viscosity card" (plastic coated business card) folded into a "ramp" shape and drip a drop of juice on it and time how long it takes to hit the bottom. Now I know how thick the juice is. You can use trial and error or % vg to pg too. Anyway, I get it to a certain viscosity and, combined with the right amount of plug material, can vape an entire cart without any leaks. Different juices, different viscosity. PG is thin.

The moral here is that it is a little different for every setup and there seems to be a lot of "futz" factor with the e-cig thing. Hang in there! Repeatable results and small adjustments will get you to a point where you can avoid the flooding/leaking that comes from too-thin juice or a bad plug. Make one adjustment at a time and you will find a combination that works for you.

Just my 2 cents. Good luck!
