Justme--you have to understand that to make money with atomizers, they would have to be done on a high output assembly line due to their low price point to be profitable. It really is not cost effective unless done so in mass production which would take a major investment...
Am I missing something here? Or buying from the wrong vendors? Attys are tiny and worthless and yet always seem to cost about 10$ (USD). They are not like
batteries with switches, circuitry, and expensive exotic materials (Li-Poly), and yet, cost about the same. Two cents of 20mm x 38 nichrome wire plus another 2 cents for the case, and 9.96$ for fabrication, labour, and shipping?
Other than by using a completely different technology, I have come to the conclusion that the atties as they are now is probably the optimum design and its very unlikely they could be much improved upon. Also when you do a breakdown of all the work involved in their construction, I think it would be quite impossible for us in the west to ever compete with the Chinese on price.
This is half true. The ridiculous idea to make a reusable device look like a disposable one, really limits what can be done in the space provided. But, if we were willing to give up that silliness and perhaps bump the size up to that of a kazoo or a cigar, it would allow a lot more options as far as
batteries and atomizers. Notably, higher voltage
batteries would enable the use of less fragile heating elements.
