atty problem

think i can fix it? it fully came apart when i went to pull the Zip Tip off it.

i have a lot of spares so it doesn't matter. i'm kind of excited i get to really have a look at one now. it's also my first atomizer casualty since i started vaping a few months ago.

if you have a drip tip that fits tight, be careful when pulling it off.

edit: it was a Joye 510 LR atty btw.

Huh. Haven't seen that before. Had you ever boiled that atty? I've heard of attys coming apart after boiling because the boiling somehow made the adhesive that holds it together come apart.

it's never been boiled or cleaned. i was using it for maybe a week. the drip tip fit in it pretty tight and i pulled it straight out instead of wiggling it a bit like i usually do. i've got 20+ spare attys sitting around so losing this one isn't even a concern.

when i clean my attys i use 91% isopropyl and then rinse with hot water.

Because these are fairly inexpensive I wouldn't even think twice to just toss it, would make me a little nervous to try and put it back together safely =]

Hmmm, seems I vaguely remember you're only supposed to leave attys in isopropyl alcohol for a short time for the same reason. I don't know, but I'm very glad you have spares!

when i clean them they don't stay in for long. once i get a clear stream running out i rinse them with water.

it was only a $5 atty. it just sucks i have to break in a new one now for the flavors i was using it with (TV Geoff's Blend and Atomic Cinnacide).

i hooked it up to a battery like that and it still works. i used a standard 510 battery and it glowed red damn quick.

the whole thing slipped back together as well. i'll just keep it for an emergency.
