Atty replacement

I've been vaping for a month, and I think one of my attys is dying. I'm not that mechanically inclined, so I want to just buy some replacements. My questions are... Is a 510 atty what I need to buy for my eGo if I just want an atty like the ones I already have? Is there a particular brand I should look for or avoid? What's a reasonable price?

Yes, an eGo uses 510 attys and cartos. You might like the Mega cylinder attys, as they hold much more liquid. If you decide you might like to try one, be sure to get the carts that fit, as they are much, much larger than the standard atty. My Freedom Smokes has them. Use discount code: smoke.

Thanks for the fast reply, bruiser! One thing you lost me on, though.... You refered to an atty that holds more liquid. I wasn't aware that the liquid was held in the atty.
i'm using standard carts with blue foam instead of polyfill.

I think he means you can get the mega atty and megacarts which hold more liquid. But yes, the ego takes a standard 510 atomizer (or LR version) Some people prefer the LR atomizer as it gives warmer vapor and more of it. The downside of them (isn't there always a down side?) is that they don't seem to last as long as the standard ones.

Electronic Ash always had attys for cheap. The genuine Joye 510 as well. They are 5.99..... can't think of any better price than that off hand.

Well, that didn't come out right. The Mega cylinder atty cart holds at least 2ml of juice. The atty itself is almost as big as the eGo battery. There are some vendors that sell a mega atty, but they are not the same as the cylinder atty. They're just longer than the standard size atty.

Got it. If I switch to a mega atty and mega carts, would I need a bigger (mega) battery? I'm not searching for any big mods or anything...i'm happy with my basic ego kit.

You can use your eGo batteries for the eGo mega atty and carts. You eGo batteries is 510 threading anything w/ 510 thread will work, also anything listed as eGo cartomizer, eGo atomizer.....anything eGo will work as well w/ your batteries.

i have the ego and i bought a mega atty and cartridge...i was dissapointed. it makes a fairly strong gurgle noise when you suck on the thing, maybe its because the juice is so runny? 80/20 mix. i didnt get good tight hits with it at all. i ended up switching to the stock atty and cart, since i dont have a LR atty for it yet.

any 510 atty will work, there are different resistances though. Also, they make fluxomizers down in sugarland at GotVapes that I hear are great!

So, is a BE-510 for $8.99, or 5 for $6.50 each a good price? Are they a good choice for standard attys? These come with a 6 month warranty.

As far as I know, most people prefer the geniune Joye 510 atomizers.
I haven't heard anything about the BE-510 atomizers, so perhaps you can get one and give us your thoughts.


I will say this though, there is a BE112 atomizer that is compatible with 801 equipment.
And many veterans do prefer the BE112 atomizer to the standard 801 atomizer.

Keep in mind the mega atty is not the same as the Mega cylinder atty. You can use the Mega cylinder atty with the regular eGo battery, but you can't use the cone. It doesn't matter as the Mecag cylinder atty and mouthpiece continue the lines of the eGo.

I must 2nd the vaporkings.com plug, all the LR 510 atty's I've gotten from them in the 10 pack have worked strong and lasted close to a month. Best deal around !

DC2, I ordered 5 of the BE-510s today, should get them saturday or monday. I'll post an opinion someone next week.
