I bought a 901 atomizer from MadVapes a couple months ago, and I intended to use it as a backup. I use my own 5v mods, and I have torn through a few atomizers these past few months. Some lasted a week, a couple lasted a month, and one just died tonight after giving me awesome performance for a month (2 ohms on 5v, that was fun). I kill atties, and soon I'll be killing some cartos (dual-coil on 5v).

Well, this particular 901 atty I'm using right now did not want to behave. After I debridged and dewicked it (S.O.P. for all my atties), I cleaned it with some hot water, dried it out, and blew some Wyatt Earp through it to clear the rest of that nasty oil that comes with the atty. I took a hit, and wow, a whole lot of nothing. I would have to take 10 second drags to get a satisfying vape. So, I cleaned it again, let it dry overnight, and tried it again. The same results occurred, very little vapor.

After shelving it for about a month (and now that my well-abused LR 901 is dead), I decided to give it another go. The same problem: very little heat and vapor.

I got all frustrated with it and blew out all the juice and decided to torture it with a nice dry burn. I blew onto the coil during the dry burn to really get it going, it got nice and bright, and I released the button. Dripped a couple of drops of Dark Vapure, and took a hit. Now it's performing like a champ. After all that cleaning and hoping and wanting to stab the coil with a nail, it's finally working properly on my mod. A nice dry burn was all it needed to start rockin :vapor:
