Hey all,

Just received my new Satin Steel Provari w/ Blue LED. Really excited. Was looking to get set up proper and wondered if anyone out there could give me recommendations for the best atomizers, cartomizers and tank systems to use. Not really up on the "Ohm" factor and this is my first move into Variable Voltage.

Please help shorten my learning curve.

I received my provari a week ago and I love it. I have been using a smoktech dual coil tank and smoktech dual coil replacement cartomizers. So far, it has been the best vaping experience I have ever had. Of course, your mileage may vary but a similar setup is worth looking into.

I haven't had as much experience as a lot of other members here at ECF, although. I have never tried dual coil attys, or single coil cartomizers either so I can not comment on those. I do have decent experience with 510 attys and I like the DC carto much better.

If you are planning on trying DC cartos for high voltage, then make sure that you get high resistance ones. I use 2.5 ohm cartos and they work very well so far.

The only tanks I own are Liquinators and pair them with Boge 3.0ohm cartos. They work very well and I've been getting very satisfying vapes with all my mods. I have the aluminum ones and they are a little pricey. You can get Stainless Steel Lil Mama tanks from BigDaddyVapor.com for about the same price as the Aluminum Liquinators. I think Vaporescence's Liquinators has the advantage through color combinations with the anodized colored caps and also the Phat-style tanks, which look flush with the silver bullet. They also give you options for colored O-Rings.

Love the new LED color!
The best advice I can give you after loving my Provari's for a year (2 first runs Nov.'10) and a newer one, all satin silvers, you can take to heart that any atty or carto you try the Vari will give you the most out of it.
That said, the Vari is not for LR under 1.7 Ohms. In other words, you will get an E2 error if the resistance ( Ohm) is too low because it has a safety function at about 2 amps.
For the most range of voltages, go with SR. (Standard Resistance) attys and carto's.
For attys that would be 2.2 to 2.5 Ohms (510 attys), 2.8 to 3.1 Ohms (901 attys).
SR cartos are around 2.8 to 3. as well.

Most tanks that use regular cartos seem to be designed the same...I'd go with a Pyrex tube if poss because it won't be affected by the juice ingredients.

My favorite carto is Ikenvape's Fusions!!!

On my provari im using smoktech dual coil carto 1.5 ohms at 4 volts prepunched with smoktechs tank got it from myvaporstore.con tanks are like 5 bucjs cartos are 5 for $9. these cartos are the best even if u just use the regular smoktech dual cartos without the tank. My first one I used for like two months worked flawless. U dont need syringes to fill u can drip into them. Filling the tanks easy too u just slide the carto out half way and fill it. No leaks no cracks. Most tanks are 20 or 30 bucks these are 5 im glad I waited this long to get into tanks. Madvapes sells them too but their a few dollars more...they sell the tank, 5 cartos and drip tip for 17 at myvaporstore

I have a ProVari and I use a MAP tank with ce2's and a Liquinator dual coil tank. My MAP tank I run 2.8 ohm cE2'S @ 5.2-5.4 volts depending on the juice. The Liquinator I run 2.5 ohm dual coil mega cartos @ 5.5 volts. I do not recommend the 1.6 ohm dual coils because the ProVari will not allow you to run them any higher than 3.7 volts. I all comes down to what you prefer. I have found out that I can use the same ce2 for up to a month or longer as where a dual coil only lasts about a week or so before leaking or burning out.
