Atty vs juice help

i have two 510 attys from awhile back that i now use with my ego. the problem is the burning taste. i think i've tried everything in the book. burnt taste will sometimes go away, but when they do, they come right back within hours. i'm beginning to think it may have something to do with the juice i got. 100% PG(as per usual) but this time around it's a dark liquid. i've heard these kinds of liquids can be harmful to attys. could this be causing the problem?

also, i have my tank system coming in the mail. i don't want to screw it up, what liquids do i need to use? where is the most reliable vendors for clean juice? and most importantly, what's the definitive method for cleaning tank atty's and avoiding burnt tastes? i don't have much money, so i CAN'T screw this up

if there's anyone who can help, i'll love you forever

Ever clean your attys or put new stuffing in your carts? That usually cleans up taste for me. However sometimes people actually singe the white fabric under the atty bridge that wicks the juice and cleaning may not help that

You can get cheap precut blue foam stuffing for standard 510 carts at strictlyejuice.com - I actually cut those down for some smaller carts I have. 1/10 of the price of buying it uncut as Marineland Ritesize U Foam Sleeve for aquariums.

Cleaning attys - I used to just blow out and soak in alcohol overnight, scoop some through next day, shake out, set to dry (meanwhile I am using another atty)

But I had a pretty gunked up one so I tried near-boiling water - soaked the atty in it in an bowl (not on the stove), scooped some through the atty after soaking. That made it look a lot better. I still shook it out and did my usual alcohol soak but I don't know if it needed it.

You can also buy that blue foam in bulk. Marineland blue foam. If you can't find it at a local walmart, look in pet stores. From advice on another thread I managed to find an ultrasonic cleaner to use on my attys. (The ultrasonics are harder to find but they're still out there.)

I haven't had to use it yet, but we've only been vaping about 5 weeks. Thus far blowing them out has been sufficient. YMMV.

Hope that's helpful. :)

I just finished cleaning my Ego-T addys for the first time, just a soak in Iso Alcohol and dry for me I left the first one out for 2-3days before I touched it. It takes alot of priming to get these going again I found myself. I took my go to vape (USA mix 24mg) dropped directly on the inside of the addy and let it soak awhile. I had to do that a few times before it started performing again. I've found that 510s vary and stop performing after long use even with regular cleaning and some flavors just don't seem to wash out ever, like my fried apple.

Good luck with the Ego-T!

cool. thanks, guys. i've had these attys for just over a year(only a few months of real use) so i should consider myself lucky to have had them as long as i have. i'll try and dig the threads out as one last final hoorah and hopefully my tank comes in before they both bite the dust. do tank attys have any threads and bridges or is it just a coil and a spike?
