Atty wimping out??

Hi all,
I've been vaping a Joye 510 for 2 weeks now. When the atty goes bad does it do it all at once, or slowly peter out?

I get good vape when I "puff" quickly, but when I take a long drag..no vape at all on exhale.

I used a friends atty and got vape like I use to so I know it's an atty issue.

I thought I read somewhere that attys either worked, or didn't work at all. Any thoughts appreciated.

Thanks!

Have you tried to clean the atty? The easiest thing to do it blow it out from the bridge side. Disconnect the atty and blow as hard as you can. This will get rid of any juice that could be flooding the atty. Wipe it all down, make sure to wipe the threads on atty and battery. If that doesn't work you can clean with vodka, alcohol or PGA. There is a whole section on this here. Good luck

I blow mine out then rinse them under water then I boil them and repeat untill I can't smell the juice anymore. Then I blow dry them for a few minuets and that has brought mine back to life each time, they work better and taste better too. If your getting a hard draw problem take a needle and make sure that the little holes are all clear including the one on top of the threads.

There seems to be a different way of cleaning atties for each person but this has worked well for me for almost 3 months and I have not lost an atty yet.

A gentle cleaning should help clear it up- there's all sorts of techniques but as the above posters say, simply blowing on the battery-side should be good enough. If the cleaning doesn't help, with a manual battery you can take a look at the atty without the cart in it. Hold in the button for a few seconds and it should glow red (although I'm not sure what type you are using). I've found it rare that attys just die, but it has happened (one just died about two weeks after I started using it, all of a sudden!). doots is right- always keep a few extra around JIC.
