I can not work out why smoking nicotine E-cigs in Australia is illegal? The only real problem with them I'm finding is that nicotine is a poison, which is the main reason the government is not allowing it! But I can go and buy thinners or acetone or any other highly dangerous chemical from the hardware store. And the argument I get from that is "well your not trying to inhale those products", But what about people that sniff glue or paint It's not illegal to buy those products!? I'm beginning to think that it has a lot to do with a company called "Nicobate" They are a nicotine replacement treatment company that make nic inhalers, nic lozenges, nic patches, etc. (I don't know if the US has this company or not). Now it seems that ONLY their products which DO contain nicotine are available for purchase in Australia. Its seems as though they might have petitioned to disallow E-cig's either because they are worried about loss of revenue (they are very expensive), Or they a holding out until further studies are done so they produce their own E-cig and monopolize the Australian market?
All I can garner, is that surely Ecigs are better than normal cigs and for Australia to make them illegal is counter intuitive as they would seem to prefer people to inhale POISONOUS smoke rather than allow us to Inhale a Less poisonous vapor!

How was smoking E-Cigs made legal in the US?
