ONE WENT TO A HOUSE TO TRY TO HIDE FROM THE HEAT AND TO GET A BIT OF SHADE AND HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED WHEN THE OWNER GAVE HIM SOMETHING TO DRINK. IT'S REALLY CUTE.

Hi Everyone,

The photos are taken last summer, ( jan 1009)
our Australian summer is from Dec - Feb-

Last summer was a very hot and dry one,
and many animals suffered from the heat.

Koalas are special animals, they never - NEVER - drink water, -
they get all their moisture from the eucalyptus leaves that they eat-

so when a koala drinks water, there is something -VERY - wrong

in this case the poor little thing is drasticly hot and desperate for water to cool him/her self.

No I am sorry they are not allowed to be kept as pets,
the only people who keep them for a short time are animal rescue workers, who will help them when they are orphaned by road accidents, or if they are sick or injured, but then only untill they are well enough to be released back into the wild again.

And No, Australian Native Animals cannot be exported out of the country, unless it is under special licence through a zoological gardens transfer policy.

And finaly - yes, I think we can all benefit from the love of-,
or from being loved by, animals.
