The liquid may have "gunked up" the auto switch inside when it dried. I've read where people have successfully freed it up by banging it on something. I've also read about gently probing around in the hole with a paperclip to accomplish the same thing. Both of these methods could also destroy it for good... but hey, it doesn't work now, right?

Although some may have proded aournd with a paperclip I suggest you just put the battery asside in a cup (threads down), with a tissue in the bottom and hope it gravity feeds it clean and dries out.

The last thing you want to risk is dead shorting a Li-Ion battery !!

On your next ordering bout... get yourself some manual batteries. You'll wonder why you ever bought autos in the first place, lol...
