Hi Brooke!

The charge/mah is the same on the batteries, so it should have no impact.

There IS less work in taking a drag on manuals.

It is all a matter of preference.

Autos are nice for when you just want hands free vaping. I do only use them on new carts though, not refilled ones, so as to not flood the auto battery.

Thanks! I cannot hold them like regular cigarettes and take a drag. They are just too heavy! I am sure the auto ones are heavy as well. I have the short batteries and they are still too heavy to hold like a analog between my fingers. Have to hold them with my whole hand and hit the button. I like the manual hit but never tried the auto. I wish to find a battery that is light so I can hold like I am use to doing with an analog.

I really like my DSE901 auto batteries and I can hold them just like an analog. My batteries aren't as large as the regular size V4L battery, I'd guess more in line with the shorty. Most of my batteries and all my KR808D-1 batteries are manual. Yet I still like the auto now and then. Its nice to not have to find the button and press it to take a quick vape or two. I don't even need to hold it just my teeth on the whistle tip. I don't think I'd try the same with a round cartomizer since the PV is heavier than an analog and requires my teeth not just my lips to hold it.

My suggestion would be to get a shortie, just 1, on your next cartomizer or juice order and give it a try.

So you can get batteries that are lighter that work with the cartos from V4L? I would love to have one that I could hold in my mouth!

Well, I'd say auto's for driving and manuals for everything else. IMO.

It's somewhat difficult to use a manual while driving and checking your cell phone at the same time, so I stick to auto's for that. From my own personal experience. A tree and I almost had a one on one meeting ....scared me auto, for sure!!!

Although, I was having troubles with my auto's lately (going rogue) and ordered some manuals to try them out. Loving the manuals and it makes it easier to get a draw. Especially if you suffer from TMJ like I do, it helps. :D

But sometimes it's nice to have an auto hanging and puffing away at will....so get both and switch off from time to time depending on your mood and what you're doing.

Good Luck with your choices!

Great point BornAgainst!!! I think that's why I was having trouble with my auto's.

I like both kinds, but have been using the manuals more recently.

I prefer auto batts for super-mini sized ecigs (m402 and m403), which are small and light enough to handle like an analog. It feels weird to me to have to push a button on ecigs that really mimic analogs in size and appearance.

I prefer manual batts for larger ecigs (510 and 901) and battery MODs, which are too heavy and large to no-hand. I get better control out of the manual batt, but of course you have to hold the ecig in place and push the button and all that. I've been getting more accustomed to driving and walking with the manual batts.

So for me, the farther removed from an analog, the more I prefer the manual button. And since I've been gravitating away from the super-minis (because the carts are too small), I've been using the manuals more and more. But when I do fill a 401 cart, I really like using the super tiny m403 auto batt. It's just nice to drive or to walk while hitting it hands free.

I started with an auto set which I considered fine until I ordered my first manual. I held them like a cigarette, but farther down where my first and second fingers meet, kind of like you see some older men do. Now, there is no way I would go back, the draw on the manuals is just so much easier for me. When I switched, I started holding them like a cigar, one finger hooked over or three fingers on the top, with my thumb on the bottom for the button. I've gotten used to sliding it down into my palm when I need my hand for something like typing.

I just received my new model XL today, purple with a blue LED. It was definitely love at first vape! It will take some getting used to hold wise since it's a bit heavier, but the draw on it is fantastic, maybe even slightly better than the regulars. If the charge life is as good as I've heard, I've found my newest indulgence.

On a side note, I got a chuckle out of the V4L team when my package arrived. I had specified on the order notes that if it wasn't too much trouble to please send any other color LED than red or orange. I have had both colors and just don't like them as much. I am also well into the "anything that doesn't look like a cigarette" phase. Written on my billing sheet was "I'm sorry, right now we only have blue LEDs on our purple batts." I'm not sure if they thought I was asking for red or orange, or if someone was pulling my leg, but it was funny and a nice touch. Plus I love the blue on purple! :)

Can someone tell me what batterys colors that have different color LED then red or blue.

From what I can tell it varies, depending on what they are getting in, but all of my black manual regulars have green LEDs. It's a very nice look if you also happen to vape mint or menthol cartos.

I would love a green and a orange, If I go click on the batterys color does it show what the color of the LED will be.Just went and tried rats no show what the LED color are.

No, they do not guarantee a LED color. I have black ones that have orange, and I have black ones that have green. Just depends on what they pull out of the box when they are packing all the orders.

Brooke, the major difference between the manuals and the autos is just how it's activated. THere is always a fraction of a second before the heating coil in the atomizer warms up and vaporizes the liquid. With autos that means a moment or so of air before the vapor starts. With manuals you can press the button while lifting it to your lips, so you get vapor as soon as you inhale.

ANd MMcall, Blue and red/orange are our most popular LED colors. We have ordered other colors but they have not been hot sellers. And some, like green and pink, have garnered a LOT of bad feedback. ;) So, blue and red/orange are what we've ordered lately, and what we're likely to order in the future.

That said, we've had a lot of requests for purple LEDs, so we've been trying to get those for a while, and just might sometime soon. But whether those stick around will depend on how they sell.
