Break in? lol, I know I broke two of them. If your talking about the Janty 510 PT, yea I've had trouble with them. The sit and go V2 is a much better pass through. Will either get one of those or the eGo USB passthrough.

considering this is the V4L sub-forum......:)
I prefer the auto, haven't had any trouble, except they eventually wear out. :(

I have had problems with the buttons on the manuals and will be using nothing but autos from now on.

Are you having a problem with them or just wanting information?

a little of both. the V4L auto i just got today, produces almost no vapor. i thought that there might be a sort of break in period, but now that i think of it, why would there be, it is electronic, not an atty.
so far i have had both the manual and the auto and neither has performed as well as the generic manual and auto that i have had. (traded the V4L manual) both generics have vaped like champs, but my auto died last week. i love V4L, and thier customer service is top notch, but it seems like everyother order im having an issue, and I am worried that they are gonna think im full of it. so far, DOA manual batt, a PCC that wouldnt charge batts, and now this. they have been awesome in taking care of my issues, but i cant help but think that sooner or later they are just gonna think that i am a pain in a**.

Hello Relax or Go 510 USB Passthrough

Very cool. Works jsut as a normal PT, but you can remove it from the cord and use it as a normal 510. TV also carries them for a buck more. Dititalciggz.com has them for $11, but I think he is out of stock ATM.

i dont use 510's. i tred that with an ego and i hated it. the flavor is terrible! everything just tastes burnt in them.

My friend bought an Auto but its really hard to draw out off for some reason. Maybe your's has the same issue.

However my Manual PT is still going after 2 weeks :)

Do they actually wear out over time? Does the voltage drop or something?
My Manual PT doesn't seem to be as powerful anymore. Even my 3.7v Auto Battery performs better now. The holes are not clogged and airflow is still good, I can't figure it out.

I have only had mine for a day. My manual PT (now) performs no better or worse than my batteries. To be honest I thought I would get a slightly better experience from it. I was worried at first because it did perform worse than my batteries. Same cart switching back and forth for 3-4 vapes at a time to compare, sometimes I wouldn't get much vapor at all from the PT, but always got less. I put it back in the box and forgot about it.

Trying the PT this morning (because of this post) and it works fine, but not better than the battery. For a fair comparrison I am taking equal time mouth hits and blowing it out and comparing the vapor so as not to let my body absorb any and skew the results.

I can't complain per se, but I was expecting a noticable performace increase that unfortunately can't be discerned.

Interesting.. My PT performed amazing for the first week (5v PT compared to 3.7v Batt). I only had to vape for 2 seconds to get the same effect as vaping a Battery for 4 seconds. Now its the opposite.

I'm using the same USB Port, so maybe the wiring or contacts have become oxidized or something.

Are you using the PT on a PC?
A decent Power Supply may make a difference.

they are electrinic, so yes they will wear out over time, but should last months before any problems arise. have you tried cleaning the threads? if there is alot of greenish tarnish on the threads, you wont get as good of a connection and it will make the PT seem weaker. a little rubbing alcohol or everclear if you can get it, on a Qtip will work just fine. just remember that you only need a little, and make sure you dont soak a bunch of it into the hole in the PT.

After 2 weeks of light usage I'd imagine it should work just as well as if it was brand new. The threads were a little oxidized, but I've cleaned them with alcohol and its still pretty much the same.

But anyway at least its performing similar to the Batteries at least :)
I just need to vape a couple of extra seconds now.

I think my friends Auto PT may need replacing. I had a try and it was extremely hard to vape from. But we'll see how it goes. Maybe it will come good after a while.

there is a 45 day warranty on V4L products. they have taken very good care of me when i have had problems. im sure they will take care of your friend too.
yes, it should work like new for much longer than 2 weeks, and 5 volts should not feel like 3.7 volts.
