Auto XL-Center Hole

I would like to know if there is way to enlarge it, w/o damaging? I have can't keep the suction and the light goes out. Top one is nice an light. TIA, val

That hole is tuned. Don't muck with it. Further, there's an insulator preventing the positive and negative poles coming into contact. So especially don't mess with it. The solution to not being able to maintain suction is actually blocking a side hole not the center post.
