    Thank you for the reply.

The situation is a little more involved sadly, my friend is not able to use a button. He is paralyzed and uses the automatic battery by holding the tank in his mouth. It's a difficult situation....

Just would be cheaper and a better vape for him if I could find something rebuildable.

Quick question; how will he rebuild anything if he can't even push a button?

Seems to me that anyone that can fill a Kayfun can also operate a switch.

Now there are some types of switches that I can't use with my messed up hand. So you may have to look at different types of switches.

I vape as well. I get everything set up for him. I fill tanks and change batteries. I build mine, so building his isn't a problem. I've been vaping for a little over two years I know the push button mods are superior but I got to make something work for him. I know it's a weird post, but just checking to see if there any answers out there.

    Again thank you guys.

Believe me, I understand the compassion. I'm just saying that it would be a good idea to look for alternatives. The automatic battery is really a poor choice.

maybe a bottom switch that he can push against something.
    or maybe something like this

Have you tried any of your other RTA's on your friend's battery just to see if they work (not for size)?

The only other small sized RTA I have heard about is the mini Fogger. But if the mini Kayfun doesn't work a mini Fogger probably won't work either.

Added: Is it not working because the center pin of the battery is not making a connection with the RTA? If so, have you tried pulling up the center pin of the battery?

This usually occurs from over-tightening the tank onto the battery connector. Just make sure that if you use something conductive (metal) to pry up on the center pin that you do NOT hit the fire button while you are working on the battery. Or better yet, turn off the battery.

I have tried a rsst and no luck. It's not getting the battery to activate. Has to do with the suction I'd imagine. The connecting post is solid with no airflow to turn it on. If there is nothing out there it's ok just inquiring for Christmas coming up.

The post is making connection, just no suction. The airflow comes from the side. Just sucks in air without turning it on. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1416604202.472022.jpg

That is a protank, I think the problem has to do with the little hole for airflow.

Thank you for the suggestion, I just don't think it will work. The auto battery has been working well for him, I'm looking into a vv auto soon. Like id said it's tough and I appreciate all the feedback.

The only way you are going to get something like this to work is with a mod that uses a switch because autos need the draw to activate. So don't know of anything that will work easily.
The only thing I can think of doing is getting something with say a DNA chip in it and then unsolder the switch and put it on a longer cable in a position that he can activate the switch to vape. I don't know how bad he is but the switch could be placed on an armrest or something and the mod could be put on a clap that he could move his mouth to. Just spit balling but it might give you an idea of something you can do.

To use automatic batteries, you need a tank that takes airflow from the bottom through the center pin itself:
    some that looks like this:

See the hole in the middle?

    If you compare the aerotank:

There's no hole in the middle.

Most rebuildables don't take air from a hole in the middle at the bottom either, but I'll look around a bit
