Automatic vs Manual battery

Manuel tends to be less prone to acceptance as said a lot here, and is a lot nicer to quick dry an atty after a cleaning. With a auto you have to primer puff repeatedly and sucking hot air into your mouth over and over with no juice gets real old. I'd definitely never suggest auto to anyone.

I suggest both. I started with a blu and loved the whole look and feel of a cig. no buttons to fuble with. bit they will burn out quicker if juice leaks into the battery hole. so they do require a lot more care. also didnt like it going off when driving down bumpy roads.

the manual doesnt go off with wind or vibrations and is easier to care for.

so I suggest a manual for regular use and keep an auto around for when you prefer something closer to a cig feel. I still use mine a couple times a mo. hubby is banned from them though cause after a year he still overfills his cartos. he blew 4 or 5 autos the first couple mo. I havent lost any. lol he is the biggest reason we went to manuals.

I'm currently in newbie research mode for my first starter kit and convinced on the manual battery. But, I'd like to buy a super mini or something around the 85mm-95mm range. I'd like the Joye306A but it uses auto battery. Anyone have recommendations? Thanks.

In my first 'vaper life' 2-1/2 years ago, I used an auto mini. The technology wasn't as good back then, and I gave up on vaping. When I re-started a few weeks ago, I went with a manual RiVa. The button has never been a problem for me. I like the way I can press it a second while I'm picking up the PV so that it's hot and ready to go by the time I draw on it.

As far as the button going off accidentally in a purse/pocket, I just bought a second RiVa as back-up and paid a few extra $ for the 3 click function. When you're going to put it someplace the button might get pressed accidentally, you click the button 3 times. That turns it off until you do another 3-click.

I use an auto and all of my friends do as well. It's easier. And I don't understand this 'primer puff' I keep hearing about. I use a KR808D-1 and never need anykind of 'primer puff'. I use it exactly like a regular cigarette, except it's too heavy to hold between your lips.

The first batteries I bought in Jan of this year were 2 autos and 1 manual.... the autos are still going strong, the button on the manual went haywire and it's done for....
I have never had an auto go off by itself, but I have had my manuals go off in my pocket or backpack when the button gets pushed.
I am a big fan of autos, but then I am a carto user, attys and dripping don't interest me (too much trouble, but that is whole other thread . )

So I guess it depends on what you are going to use it for.

Totally agree with the comment on boxers or brief, would add Ford or Chevy, red or green, Mac or PC, etc.....

I'm another "it depends". I've had both auto and manual styles fail, for different reasons. I normally vape a pretty hefty variable voltage (VV) manual PV, but just bought a new KR808D-1 XL auto battery for use doing yardwork. They both do well, depends on the situation.

You must not have tried any of the new autos because you don't need a primer puff. The autos produce the smoothest easiest draw. I use a 1300 Echo auto and it is the best battery I've had in 18 months of vaping. I've gone through a lot of manual batteries in that time. The only thing a manual is better for is dry burning an atty. You can use an auto but you have to look in a mirror and blow into the battery end. I have plenty of manuals I don't use much anymore to use for dry burning. My finger and thumb are still tender from pushing on a button over a thousand times a day. People keep mentioning about autos going off from noise or vibrations, that simply isn't true with the new autos. I have had several manuals get stuck on and heat up while in my pocket. The cartos I use don't leak so I don't have any problems with juice getting in the battery.

I would go with a KR808-D like the Volt or similar. They have great auto batteries and cartos.

Update: I have ANOTHER manual with button issue. I think I'm going to begin using the auto's because it's starting to cost too much.

So confused! I'm looking at the Liberty Flights site, but I can't figure out which batteries are automatic and which are manual. Is there any way to tell when they don't explicitly state which it it?

Look for a knob on the battery block. It is manual 100%
