Av imr vs. Aw imr

I just recently found some av imr 18650's (orange). At the moment I use AW imr's. (red)

Any difference in these batteries? I assume it's a different manufacturer. If that is the case are the aw of a better quality than the av?

I'm getting ready to order some 18650s so I'm interested in this myself. Never heard of AV brand but I do know AW is considered among the best. Final price is about the same, battery is a little cheaper from Avid but shipping is cheaper from SuperT.

Upon a second look they are flat top, that's a no go for me.

only difference that i know of is that AW has excellent quality control over there products and have been a proven WIN. is it the price difference thats concerning you? if so check out RTDVAPOR.com they have AW's for $9 something... great price.

Looks like their made by the same company that does Ultrafire and Trustfire batts, their all right but their not great. If I have to order that kind I get extra because you can wind up with a bad one about every 6. Since the AW finally arrived I haven't used anything else and the problems I had before are gone, after all you only get what you pay for.

I don't know if these are the same as the BDL IMR High-drain batteries.. but I have seen some tests with the BDL IMRs under load and they don't hold their voltage at ALL compared to an AW IMR


No idea if these are the same..but all it would take is a Minimum Order Quantity that's enough to get your own name put on the shrinkwrap

Right the av are from avid vapor. I ordered some while getting some cisco attys to cut down on shipping costs from multiple suppliers.

I an going to send an email to avid vapor to ask the difference. I an hoping they just rebranded them "AV(Avid Vapor)" or they work close to a AW
