I got an Apex/Thermovape kit - UltraMAX 6V with RES and two atomizers: HR (came with the kit) and SR. I'm new to this, so I have a few questions.

1. The HR doesn't seem to work right from the start. I put a few drops, wait some time, then I try to vape and there is very little vapor, and the liquid kind of boils and splashes/spits, and then it goes dry. Am I doing something wrong or it's just a bad unit?

2. The HR atomizer they sent me is "flat bottom", there is no hole, just small air holes (I guess). How is it supposed to work with RES??? Did they send me the wrong atomizer??

3. The SR is "bottom feed". It works fine and I like it, although it's a bit "uneven" so to speak. It gets dry quickly, even though the RES is filled. I guess I just need to wait more between hits? Basically I need to drip all the time. I don't know if it's supposed to be this way with the RES. Am I vaping too frequently? Is that it? :) I am a serial vaper.

All atties should work with the Res.

The ones Apex seems to carry are usually sealed atties to prevent juice from leaking down (the switch isn't completely sealed off so be careful). Try to stick with sealed atties with this mod.

I wouldn't call this a bottom-fed mod, its more of a atty dripping extender (if that makes sense).

Even with the Res filled you'll might need to top off the atty. How it feeds, really depends on your juice.

If, you're sure the Res is filled and you're getting dry hits. Take a primer pull (without the mod on) to get some juice to the atty.

If you get juice in your mouth, just blow through the atty to force the juice into the Res. If you're Res is overfilled, juice will come out of the holes in the Res.

For the HR atty, try dripping than blowing through the atty to force the juice into your Res.

Also have you cleaned the Res in warm water? Mine wouldn't wick will till I washed it in hot water.

Good luck with your UltraMax, mine is on the shelf collecting dust. Be very careful with the switch, try to use their atties/or sealed ones from other vendors.
