Available box mods with an affordable price?
Is there such a beast.

I currently do not have a mod and would not mind having a box mod as my first.
My current setup is an MVP2 and love it.

Having browsed several pages I really like the wood box mods and aluminum box too but what I find always looks to be sold out or a waiting list or just not available any longer.

Looking for any input. Thanks.

I'm having the same problem pretty much. I don't like tubes. I want a box mod that's not made of or looks like cheap plastic. I want to vape at 3.7 regulated volts. I can find readily available black plastic ones that take an 18650 but I really don't want what looks like a detonator. Either 18650 is fine but I would also like 18500 but have never seen any of those. I want it to be classy looking.. no luck. MVP2-required button pressure is just too much for me and I don't like a feeder so Reo is out. VTR (I think) is too heavy to comfortably hold for long. I've been searching for weeks and have come up with nothing that meets my really very simple needs. When I smoked I wanted a classy looking gold lighter. I haven't changed. I want that in a box mod.

I have 2 REOs and I really like them, but I know not everyone does.You might want to look at the VMODs at Vapage.It is also a bottom-feeder.

What is affordable to you? Is that in the 40 dollar, 100 dollar, 150, 200 range, etc etc.

One thing I'd say, without personally having the experience of any other box mods other than my vaporshark dna30, but having done plenty of research, is that you will get what you pay for in most respects, especially as far as internals go. Most the boxes will look good enough on the outside, but if you are looking towards a regulated device like the DNA's you are going to want something that is put together well and sturdy, with good wiring, soldering, connections, buttons, and a case that closes up well in the advent of a leaky atty.

I opened the VS the other day out of curiosity and it is well thought out and executed on the inside. The buttons all have a great feel to them, the 510 connection is spring loaded with great threads and has good air vents for systems without AFC. There was no juice on the inside, and I've had my share of juice leak down the body. The charging port is solid and doesn't budge when plugged/unplugged. I'm not sure you get all this with a budget clone, but I could be wrong.
