"Kat, i would go for the protected panasonic. As far as i know, the 18650 ego-t doesnt have much in the way of battery protection in it so you'll want to use a protected battery. The charger you have will work, but expect a 4 hour + charging time if you run the battery all the way down"

Might not be able to screw the Contol Head down all the way on the eGo T mod, using protected batts due to the length.

With a unprotected button top, it screws down, but it's tight..

I don't have either mod yet ....am trying to decide on what to order ....

Thanks for your run-down zipper...

I have all 5 mods listed below, and this is what works: (for me, anyway)
Lava Tube-Flat top unprotected
Provari-Button top unprotected
eGo T Mod-either button or flat unprotected works
Super T P+18650-button top unprotected
Buzz Pro II-Button top (16340)

By the way I'd liek soem input:

ego-t mod, I went round and round with Joyetech and their rep and they are no longer doing the translucent oval softy button they did when we first got these in. I wasn't thrilled with their change to the flatter button style and didn't know if we were going to reorder...what does anyone think who got the control heads recently?

No, either of our protected (panasonic or efest) is a smidge wider than a IMR and it won't fit (a BOLT, Gripper & Telescope to name three) and you shouldn't force it, will strip the outer sheathing off...

Stick with the flat top IMRs for the Bolt and the Gripper & Telescope (even the button atop causes a very tight fit on these and maybe others)...if the battery doesn't just slide right in, stop.

I did check the button top 18350 efests on the Vmax and it works fine...

OK so please bare with me here ....

the flattop Efest 18650 ...& the flattop Efest 18350 ....will fit the Telescope ???
NOT too wide ??

and the joyetech & sanyo batteries ? Are they IMR's?
GV website does NOT say they are IMR's ...

I'm SORRY I don't MEAN to be such a PITA .......but but but

and if I may make a suggestion....?

I think It would be helpful if on your APV product pages, if you would list the batteries you carry that will work with that mod....@ the bottom of the listing or offer to add them to cart like the fill kits on the carto pages .

Lot's of work I know ....but it would help those that are unsure of which batt fits what. :D

I don't care to much for it Danno. As I have both, I find the "raised" older version easier to "find" without looking..

The new style certainly prevents accidental firings though...

Yes the Sanyo is IMR, usually if it is not listed as Protected it is IMR but I do need to update that product page to state that. And actually that is on my list of things to do, list the suggested batteries.

Flat top Efest 18650 works with Telescope and is recommended. For the Efest 18350 flat top we don't recommend double stacking batteries in a mod of course but if using singularly for those stealthy times yes it works fine as should the Efest button top...

Danno I'm one of the ones who got the flatter button style and contacted you about it. I still don't care too much for it, and think the softy button would be much better.

The flat style makes you 'curl' you thumb down which can affect how you hold it. Maybe I am making too big of a deal of it. I don't use the mod on a regular basis...

Also my rep hinted something cryptically when I asked about possibility of putting Twist VV circuitry in the ego-t control head...He didn't say one way or another, saying he wasn't at liberty to tell...

Also remember the LiPo safety charging bag...small price to pay for those times when you have unattended charging...

Also as you know, lipo can help you with your weight loss goals. If you get the larger size and your head is not too big, you can pull it over your head and make cut outs for your eyes and mouth (make the mouth cut-out just large enough to barely put a spoon through). It will make you eat more deliberately and provide incentive to get dinner over quick.

That would be very cool! I really liked the mod (before my son-in-law took off with it). VV and colored tubes would make it pretty awesome. I did like the older button better tho... I am needing another backup mod...but just don't want to buy anything that isn't VV anymore.

X-Tra sweet Danno...A "Twisted" 18650 eGo T MOD, at an affordable price, would put a serious dent in sales of other VV MODS (IMO)...I know I'm good for a couple myself...
