sigh.

My first kissbox atomizer died yesterday. Got it on the 16th and it started sputtering and tasting awful yesterday. I had been blowing it out and draining it already, tried cleaning it with grain alcohol and letting dry overnight, no luck.

Less than 2 weeks, seriously? :( I have more on the way, but is it normal for one to crap out this quickly?

I've got a long car trip today and I don't think my 801 batteries will last me. May have to break down and use the PG carts I have left for the Red Dragon since it has a car charger.

Waaaaaaaaah!

Don't give up on the atomizer yet. I cleaned all of my M401 atomizers 2 weeks after I got them (yes, all of them I cleaned), and all but 1 stopped working.

In a panic (and rightfully so), I ordered a few more spares and swore I would never clean all of them at once again. Well, 3 days later, before the new ones arrived, I decided to try them again. 2 of the 4 atomizers started working immediately. The 3rd worked the next day, and the 4th took a week after I cleaned it to begin working again. 6 weeks later, they are all still working.

So, in a nutshell, get some more spares, but let your's rest a while before you toss it. You might be surprised by a Zombie Atty.

I gave it another soak in vinegar water this morning before I left and got a lot of gunk out of it, and when I came home it was dry so I gave it a try.

It was fine for a while, but I got that nasty burnt metallic taste again within a short period of time. I'm getting a reasonable amount of vapor, maybe not as much as when it was brand new, but not too terrible. It's still gurgling quite a bit.

Does this mean I need to give it a longer soak, or is it too far gone? Or do I need to let it rest a little longer?
