Just wondering what I should be expecting with different atty's. I have been using several different brands and styles for a little over a month now (Joye 510, Aero bridgeless, Cisco 306...) sort of rotating through them trying to find a favorite. They are all starting to taste/act strange, some with less vapor, some with less flavor. I've cleaned them all at least a couple of time in an alcohol bath. Is this about the average life for these things? Should I just toss them and start new?

You are lucky. From my experience any atty is not performing well within a week. That is why I prefer a rebuild-able one.
One of the nice thing about an atty is if you get a week or two of use it's just as cost effective as using a carto.
i use atomizers and can get about ten weeks out of one . i use unflavoured e liquid cut fifty fifty with glycerine. this gives me 26 mg per ml nicotine. i think its all the flavours that ruin atomizers. the other thing is don't suck it dry i drip and put three dross in and take ten drags then repeat as necessary. hope this helps. way better than any cartomizer. way cheaper too.
