What is the average of MTL puff volume vs DTL puff volume?

On single DTL puff (quadruple coil at maximum AF, 2 second draw) it is around 5 cubic feet...

on single Berserker MTL (smallest air flow hole -10 second draw) it is around 5 cubic centimeters...

To convert small room into sauna it is neccesary to produce 10 DTL puffs or 500 Berserker's smallest hole puffs... with Siren2 fully open you can achieve it with 50 puffs...;)

Just in case anyone doesn't pick up that this is sarcasm, let me point out that 5 cubic feet is over 140 liters while 5 cubic centimeters is about a teaspoon full.

Probably accurate on that Berserker though.

Then whoever is vaping with it doesn't have much pucker power at all. I get a decent amount of vapor from my 24mm Berserkers, set on the 3rd to the largest AF hole, with a 1.1ohm coil, at just a puny little 8.1W.

Honey, if I draw on it any harder, I’m afraid I’ll suck the drip tip off it and choke on it!

While it's impossible to say (and I'm not even sure there's any good reason for wanting to know, outside of studies where it ought to be measured precisely) I can tell you that the last time I used an MTL setup I used 18 mg juice, and that with an airyish DTL RDA I use 6mg, and subjectively feel as if I am getting at least as much nicotine from that, even given that I don't hold it as long.

So, _in my specific case_ it's likely that the ratio is greater than 3:1 (I would actually guess more like 4:1.) Unfortunately that's a very loose guess even in my case, and even if my guess were very accurate (it's not) it would differ for everyone based not just on what equipment they used, but on how they used it.

That said, if you're looking for very rough baseline numbers 3:1 to 6:1 is _probably_ in the ballpark, I think, for most people. That's a very large ballpark....

The average MTL hit, pretty much the standard adopted by the scientific community, is ~50ml which is then diluted with fresh air to achieve a "tidal volume" of 500ml.

DTL is a bit harder to estimate as is has a lot to do with lung capacity, CFM rate, and style of the individual. There is a lot more variability from person to person.

When I measured mine, the average over 5 DTL hits was 427ml. But thats me, my style of DTL, my lung capacity (I am a big guy), my CFM rate of draw.

Tidal? Should I go check my charts for esophageal terrain. I guess it's really more dependent on lung capacity, or if you have a big mouth.

:D Good luck.

I think thats why someone invent the concept of average

Agree. I have a profound respect for average and the broad middle we most of us enjoy. Just be bored vapin there all the time. At best a sign post at the town center. But useful, as much as finding the edges of the range.

@mikepetro, ya kno jus funnin. Miserable in this interminable surreal wetness down here in S FL.

Good luck all. :)
