I still have 2 full cartons of analogs, just sitting there, getting stale. I may have them bronzed:ohmy:
This is true: At the time I received my first PV, I had four cartons in hand, and six more in transit. I had been ordering online to save money. Obviously, I wasn't planning to quit. The 6 cartons were delivered days later. I ended up selling several very cheap, and then gave the rest away.

I quit the day I received my first PV, with two exceptions. Several days later I underestimated the battery power I needed to make it through a workday. Battery died, and I bummed a smoke off a co-worker. And, a month or so after I quit, I lit up out of curiosity. At that point, it tasted horrible and I didn't finish the whole cigarette.

I am so happy there is hope. Got my PV about 4 or 5 days ago and am craving constantly. I am excited to be vaping more than smoking but was feeling very guilty about still smoking 5-8 analogs a day. Just got a higher mg juice order today and am hoping that will do the trick. I guess after 37 yrs of 1-2 packs a day, I should be happy to be down to 5 analogs but...I want to want no analogs at all. The only problem now is, I like the RY4 so much I may chain vape and get too much nicotine!

1st, don't beat yourself up. Not everyone is lucky enough to drop cigarettes instantly. I am convinced that the difference is, how much of the addiction is chemical vs. how much of it is physical habit (oral fixation). If yours is more chemical, it may be tougher to make the complete break.

Even though I smoked a mild cigarette (1-1.5 packs a day) for 35+ years, I didn't get rid of the cravings until I went to 36mg. I would like to cut that down, eventually. But, in all honesty, I'm also convinced that (a) it isn't the nicotine that kills you, it's the smoke, and (b) vaping isn't an efficient means of nicotine delivery. It's there, but not the same as smoking. Just a hell of a lot less damaging.

I honestly do not have an end to vaping on my radar. I'm happy right now to not be smoking.

Honey, there is indeed hope here!! Don't feel bad, and never feel guilty, you are not letting anyone down. When you get the right nicotine balance, you will discover you have zero desire to reach for the ciggies. The ciggies are just there at that point, and you find yourself out and about without them, you didn't do the mad scramble to find them before you left for the day, you got your PV and that's all you thought about. Ciggies lose their priority in your life, and THAT is what it's all about!!! They have already lost, look at how many LESS you are smoking! It's a done deal at this point.

Trust me, you will stop vaping when you get a headache, your body will tell you when you have had too much Nic :) drink more water, that will help.

Hang in there, and keep coming here. You will find the support you need here.

I just got my starter kit and I really got it because my husband said "You better stop smoking in your car now that we share it" I've only had it for 3 days but I've dropped down to 2-3 analogs a day compared to a pack a day. It's so nice not to have to go outside....I'm gonna be lovin it when its freezing outside! Can't wait to get some new juices!! Once I get some better tasting stuff I can see myself stopping smoking easy.

Thank you!! I was feeling like something of a failure because I was not one of the lucky ones that picked up my eGo and put down my Bic. I have gone from 2 pack/day to 2 a day and was kind pleased with myself, but admit to starting to feeling a bit down because 'everyone else' seems to have been able to completely walk away from their tobacco habit. I've got my nicotine level just fine but I still find myself itching periodically for a cigarette. I try to rationalize that to restrict something too much is to ensure failure but I was still feeling guilty about it. I think I may print out the quote above in large letters and tape it across the bathroom mirror, using you as my Stuart Smalley Daily Affirmation.
I can understand how you feel. Even though I was one of the lucky ones, I know it isn't that easy for everyone. Sometimes our enthusiasm and excitement might seem like piling on to those who are struggling a bit. I'm sorry.
As others have said, it varies from person to person. And, absolutely you should feel great about cutting your consumption by 90%. That's a major victory in itself!

Congratulations! And, vape on!

I could have quit immediately but the mall brand ecig was going to cost me a fortune. So I somehow found the forums which led me to mods which led me to no more analogs. Went from a pack and a half a day to about 6 packs in a month with mall thingy. Bought a mod and have been analog free since. About 3 and a half months.

My husband who started vaping about a week after I did says he still has cravings for an analog from time to time. I was one of the lucky ones....but pain is a great motivator (I had pleurisy which caused extreme pain when I breathed or smoked a cig) No pain for me meant I wasn't going back. I was a 2.5 -3 pack a day smoker so I was pretty much a chain smoker and I think i'm a chain vaper too. (my PV has become my security blanket...LOL)

I was a 2+ pack Capri 120 smoker and quit within 15 minutes of buying my 510. Having only one analog left at the time probably helped. Now, having said that, I had been on Chantix for over a month but it had done nothing to cure or curb my analog habit. It just gave me the most horrific nightmares ever. I'd been smoking for over 35 years and didn't want to quit...

My husband was a 2+ pack Camel Blue smoker, been smoking over 45 years and he smoked his last analog four days after I did. We didn't both vape and smoke.

I quit July 10th and he on the 14th. For two people who thought they could never give up analogs it has been a miracle for us.
