Yesterday I was showing a smoker my PV and then last night one of my local stations had a segment about a guy who was burned by a company called directecig.com. They are one of those companies that send you a cheap starter kit for a few bucks and then, if you don't cancel in 14 days, charge you the full price (over $100, what joke!) and then charge every month for refill cartridges. The cancellation policy is, of course, in really tiny print somewhere on their site. Anywho, the woman I was talking to yesterday saw the segment and now all e-cigs, and e-cig vendors, are lumped together in her mind as rip-off artists. I tried to explain but I could tell the door on the idea had been slammed shut and I doubt she's the only one who saw the segment who feels the same way. I really HATE companies like this one (who have an F rating with the BBB, BTW) and just wanted to warn any newbies who might be considering buying from these thieves. :grr:

I just happen to have a directecig kit right here, which I tried to cancel on the 13th day, and they didn't answer the phone and I was charged for it along with carts for the next 3 months. Yeah, I've heard of them.lol

I actually pull it out once in a while and take a few puffs, the flavor is sort of interesting, wonder what the juice is.

Did you contact your credit card company and protest the charges? If not, you should.

Damn. Just do a charge-back on your card.

Not sure about your debit card, but my debit card has a Visa logo on it.

Yeah, mine does also. I was just going by what the bank was telling me at the time. I'm not sure, maybe they just didn't want to deal with the hassle. They just said they couldn't do anything cause of it being a debit card.
