Anyone else experience this?

When I use a new or dry carto in the AVS it is constantly flooded, gurgley and even juice in the mouth full.

After about a half tank it seems to get better but it is annoying and I waste a bunch of juice because the only way to clear it is to remove the AVS and gently blow the juice out of the connector.

I am currently using the slotted cartos from vaporescence.

Too much air will cause that -- in fact, I found that one hole is better than 2 for mostly PG juice, its the VG heavy juices that require a larger amount of airflow. When I fill my AVS I put a drip tip on the carto and draw juice into it, then top off the tank as the carto will hold about 1ml, and then close up. I have never had a problem doing it that way with punched 808s and I've done it maybe 80-90 times.......:thumb:

I just got my AVS a few days ago and I have noticed the same issue!!!mine was leaking so much it would cover my PV and leak out the bottom!! Fixed that quick but it was still flooding the atty!! Bad!! What was going on, at least for me is when I screw the bottom connecter into the tank, the juice flow peice is opening as I screw them together so when its fully screwed in the juice flow control ring is fully open and therefor floods my atty and I get a mouth full of juice.. What I am having to do is either very very very slowly screw it in or once I get it fully screwed into the tank I have to use a tool to close the juice flow control.. Its a pain in the A but that is what works for me.. I think I lost about 15ml of juice before I realized the fix for tins issue with help from another ECF member that I got it from!!! Its great when you get it working right though.. I am using a LR Atty if that matters... Good luck with the issue.... If anyone else has a fix for this I would also love to hear it!!!!!!

Fugin, use of an atty in the AVS is a frustrating experience for me and I stopped trying 7 months ago, the cartos work so damned well there is absolutely no reason to use an atty IMO.:)

The only way attys worked for me in the AVS and AFSV2 is if I opened and closed the contol ring with every hit fwiw.......

I have the 901, (the only way to go) and I usually do not have problems with an atty, every now and then It will flood.

With the 808 carto if it is new or cleaned and dry is when I see the most flooding.

I was thinking that there were to many slots with the two that come pre cut from Vaporescence but it levels out and quits doing it after about 5MLs of juice.

Any help?

This is my guess -- do you have any others laying around that you can just punch a single hole in? I wish I had one of the Smoktech's one he has been plugging right now to send you........:)

Imeo, the instructions on how to do this were in the wiki I just realized -- is that part back up on the new site yet? Else someone will have to find the instructions and repost -- dang, I think it had some nice pics, too!!!

Fug, I just read your PM, you have me confused as to what you are talking about but it seems you have an UFS not AVS.

Also you should not have to use a tool to tighten anything on the GG or AVS or AFS or UFS as you are going to eventually damage it.

I recommend that you not do that.
I am using a little plastic toothpick, nothing that will damage anything, But I hear you.. I just use it to gently push my control ring to the right position!! Nothing to damage!!

I think he's talking about the 510 in a AVS, it has a juice control ring on the atty connector. When I use cartos with a hole in the side I close the juice control all the way so it feeds through the hole in carto.

You should really try punched 808's in your AVS fright. It is Awesome! Since I traded my Iatty for my AVS it has even replaced my UFS as my daily setup. It is that good!

The best cartos where the stickerless Vapor Nine Turbo cartos at 6.4V. Some of us GG fanboys at Nu_Vapor are doing a lot of testing to find a replacement. As soon as we do, I will let you all know so you can try. I really do not think that you will be disappointed.

overflooding is because mouthpiece is not tight or because control liquid is not tight. Every atomizer has its own parameters but we can control them by AVS. Thats why I made it like this, to be able to do exactly the adjustments we want. We have to control atomizer and not atomizer control us. So the mouthpiece and the control liquid ring are what we need to avoid burn taste or overflooding on 510 atomizers

I started out using my AVS with an HH.357 and other then the mess I made when filling, it worked great, never flooded, smooth draw and a very satisfying vape. I switched over to a 901 cart (IKV) because of this thread and all I get is a real dry carto vape. Anyone have any suggestions? I've tried loosening the draw control and tightening it and either way it's still the same.
