AVS & Spring collapsing...

Hey,

So I just got an AVS today...
Am I doing something wrong? I fired it up... with the same combo I use almost all day everyday, and it collapsed my spring.

Sounds like a short....have you checked the atomizer/carto connection with your multimeter?

no but i was using the atomizer on the reo all day

Could it have something to do with the avs 510 connector

Take atty out and test it. Let us know about that and we can move on from there

I was using 2 AW lifepo4's and an IKV 3.5ohm atty.

I just popped the same atty I was using on the AVS onto my reo (same 6V set up)... worked fine

I am having the Same problem with mine as well on occasion. I am using Ggts with no spring now. I metered my cartos and they are fine. When I do get it to fire I get no air draw and I just sucks the juice up in my mouth. I am using the 510 connection and tried dual coils and sr cartos. I have adjusted the ac on the avs and on the Ggts and still get nothing.

Close the liquid control and punch holes in the side of the carto. There are vids online. The 901 connector with 808's is miles better.

With a voltmeter check for problems.

There are a couple of tips to using the AVS effectively.
When installing an atomizer, loosen the center pin, screw on the atty until it bottoms out. Then back it off until the holes in the threads line up with the slots, then snug-up the center pin. I always leave the flow control nut wide open.
If it gets dry, open the top cap and close it a couple times.
Draw on it a few times with out firing it.

Once you get the hang of it the AVS is very efficient tank.

Have you checked it with your multimeter?

Yup --- and I took it off the avs and put it directly onto the GGTS (for dripping) and it worked fine

Not the atomizer....have you checked continuity through the AVS with the multimeter?

Nope, but that is certainly an excellent idea. How would I do that?

Check resistance of positive and negative connections through the AVS
Check across + and - to see if you have a short
Finally, take a volt reading at the AVS atomizer connection
