AW Batteries...WOW!

As Isaac will tell anyone who asks him, I am the world's biggest skeptic when it comes to trying something new. I'm sure it's that 'old dog, new trick' philosophy of mine.

I had been having problems with my mods for about three weeks or so ranging from very disappointing vapor to having to keep several freshly charged li-ion batteries close at hand to keep myself satisfied with what my mod was producing. Hubby makes my mods for me so, of course, he was the first one I blamed. After thirty four years together, it just seemed the logical thing to do! It just HAD to be his fault, right? lol Anyway, after much discussion with Isaac (thanks for the time, btw...I know how busy you have been), he convinced me to try out these new AW batteries.

All I can say is DO NOT HESITATE to try these batteries! If you are like me and like that feeling of fresh off the charger and not having to worry about your battery not lasting, these are the answer (I am a very heavy vaporer)! I have been using the same battery now for TWENTY FOUR HOURS, and it's still not slowing down...still feels like I just took it off my charger. Very, very consistent vape and the answer to ALL of my problems!

That's fantastic news. The Lazer 3 is going to be my first mod and I also purchased some of these amazing batteries I have been hearing about. I am checking the mailbox every five minutes even though I know it probably won't be here today.

Also got the AW batteries from Isaac. They are so much better, I just ordered more.

I first got the Li-ion AW 16340 batteries for the Chameleon. I only use one at a time for 3.7 volts. They worked ok, but I never got more than 4 hours from them. Then I got the AW LiMN 16340 batteries and to me there was no difference between them and the Li-ion batteries. I rotated 6 batteries for about a month so none of them ever got used that heavily. Now I get about 3 hours of good vaping then vapor production drops. I'm wondering if my charger doesn't work right. I recently got some no name cheap china 1000mah Li-ion batteries and for a few days I got about 6 hours on them and now they too only are good for about 3 hours. I got another charger and I'm going to see if it makes a difference.

Now my AW 10440s way out preform my Trustfire 10440s, but they are being charged on a different charger than the 16340s. So I do know the AWs are better. Hopefully I can get my 16340s to work like they should.

Thank you! I have both types of the AW batteries and I have never gotten the performance out of either type that others talk about so it has to be something I'm doing. I broke out my other 3 chargers and will be expermenting over the weekend. I have also noticed that the 302 attys seem to drain a battery faster than a 901 atty so it might be that also.

The AW batteries are by far the best 16340's I have ever used. They last a lot longer than other ones I currently have. I have been using the same 2 in my GGTS for over a day now and still going strong. I am going to order the IMR 16340's as I have heard really good things about them.

I would Definitely recommend the UltraFire WF-138 Multi-Voltage Battery Charger These Aw's helped me Greatly when I was bed ridden for the past few days. I been using the same batteries since we 1st learned about them and I'm still on the same pair since Saturday. When I'm at 100% I get 9+ hours still as you should too.

these AW IMR 16340 batterys are great. do not hesitate to buy them. I have been using AW IMR High Drains now since they came out 18650 and now Isaac's 16340 and they last all day at 3.7v. they also fit perfectly in my mini Xhaler. a lot of the other brand 16340 are longer and dont fit right so i asked Isaac to measur ethese for me and they were right on. perfect. i want to order some more but i see they are out of stock. when they get more in dont hesiate to buy a few. you cant go wrong with these. also most importantly they have safe chemistry. they are not protected but they have safe chemistry so thats is good enough for me.

I'm sorry to hear you two have been sick Please do what it takes to get you both back to 100%.

The original charger I purchased from you did not work and you sent me one of the WF-138 chargers to replace it. I also got a WF-138 charger from Lighthound that I have been using. I haven't tried the one you sent yet. On top of those two I have two other chargers also. I've been using one of the no name ones and the batteries are better than they were. I'm going to get out the WF-138 charger you sent me and try it next. I really believe the one charger that I have isn't working the way it should, so I'm not going to use it anymore.

Thank you for the help! Like I said I don't think it's the batteries themselves. I'm pretty sure it's the charger and or the 302 attys drain them faster. I was using a 302 on the LVP1 and it drained that battery much faster than a 510 or 901 atty does.

Batteries come off the charger at 4.17 volts and my current 302 atty test at 3.1 ohms. I take long hard draws, probably 8-10 seconds and I vape a lot. Thank you for offering to do the math since I get lost on all the figures.

ok I was doing some checking on the 302 atty since I'm not real familiar with it...

first thing I found was that you gotta be careful not to screw them on too tight...seems on some mods they're prone to shorting...which could complicate things...

second one supplier gave me a resistance on them of 3.5Ω +/-.03 ...but we'll go with your #

3.1Ω at 3.7V is an amp draw of 1.19A

so the rest of the math:
1190mA/550mAh= 2.16C ...60min/2.16C= 27.78min or 1666sec...given that you said 10sec long button presses that's about 166 button presses

*so how long does it take you to go through 166 button presses? round about 3 hours?...

EDIT:
now the regular AW 16340 batteries...FOR THAT ATTY SPECIFICALLY...the amp draw does not exceed the max drain of the battery (but it's close so they're getting stressed and may have to be removed from duty more frequently) of a max drain of 1.5A

so the math should kinda support that you got more time out of them
1190mA/750mAh=1.59C.. 60min/1.59C= 37.34min or 2264sec or on your 10 sec long button presses .. 226 presses..
given the difference you said between 3 hours on one and 4 on the other that's a difference of 60 presses in an hour... 60 presses in an hour is round about 180 presses in 3 hours 240 in 4 hours...

so to me yeah it sounds like the batteries are right in line for your vaping style unfortunately..

It's not screwing them on too tight that is the problem, it's the fact they do not screw down as far as 801 attys. Most pins on adapters or connectors are set for 801 attys. The 302s don't screw down far enough to make complete contact and they short out. We were able to push the pin in the Chameleon higher so it connects fully and stopped the problem. Last one made it over 4 weeks and this one is over 2 weeks with no problems. Unfortunately I had to stop using them with adapters on the Lazer mods as the adapter pins are too short. They work great with 801s, I just don't like the draw on the 801 as well. So now I use 302s on the Chameleon and 901s or 510s on the Lazers. Should be getting my Iken 2.5 ohm 510 attys today and can't wait to try them on the LPVs
