AW IMR or AW protected battery for lavatube chrome?

did a search on getting additional batteries, got confused, ppl mentioned require high drain batteries, AW IMR is high drain, how about AW protected? are they high-drain as well? cos someone mentioned protected batteries are safer. some mentioned those with button type, LT cape cant close fully but some mentioned newer LT can take batteries with button. Anyone here using LT chrome, care to shed some light?

There's flat top IMRs over at www.sgjuices.com

IMRs are not protected batteries per se but they utilize chemical compounds to minimize thermal runaway. Instead of exploding they usually just fizzle out to oblivion. There youtube vids demonstrating this.

LT circuitry incorporates a low voltage cut off at 3.0V so it's pretty much save to use IMRs.

Not to mention IMRs definitely packs more punch than ICRs
