did a search on getting additional batteries, got confused, ppl mentioned require high drain batteries, AW IMR is high drain, how about AW protected? are they high-drain as well? cos someone mentioned protected batteries are safer. some mentioned those with button type, LT cape cant close fully but some mentioned newer LT can take batteries with button. Anyone here using LT chrome, care to shed some light?

Just gathering info on replacement batteries, cos no idea on the quality of the batteries that come with the kit, dunno how long they can last.

Those selling at fstoplight got nipple? Is there any nipple-less protected battery? How do I identify which is high-drain batteries?

IMRs are not protected batteries per se but they utilize chemical compounds to minimize thermal runaway. Instead of exploding they usually just fizzle out to oblivion. There youtube vids demonstrating this.
LT circuitry incorporates a low voltage cut off at 3.0V so it's pretty much save to use IMRs.
Not to mention IMRs definitely packs more punch than ICRs

does that means we are limited to only the red colour AW IMR without nipple locally?
You can use 18650 with nipple but the lavatube wont be able to close fully.
The red colour AW IMR without nipple seems to be the only batt that can fits the lavatube nicely.
Has any one thought of cutting the spring shorter in the end cap so you can close the LT fully?
to cut the original a bit risky, is there any replacement spring we can get locally to try it out?
read somewhere it is not advisable to leave the battery in the kit if not using, may I know whats the duration to be consider not using?? cant expect me to take out the battery after every vape rite?
