I see the AW P18650 protected battery is rated at 5.8 amp continuous output so can they be use instead of the AW IMR 18650 battery that is rated at 8.6 amps continuous output ? I mean does the provari even put out that many amps ? I have a couple of Utrrfire 18650 protected batteries @ 2400mah can I use them as well ?

Well I usually vape at 4.4v you know the sweet spot for a lot of things . The new G4 carto's are 4ohm so I can vape then at 5.2 or so but prefer somethink closer to 4.8 .

4.0 ohm at 4.8 volts is only pulling 5.76 watts/1.2 amps. You should be fine there, until the battery starts to get low. It may shut itself off a little faster than it would with the recommended battery.

Ah, but I see below this message that you changed your mind and will be using the recommended batteries. Good choice.
