The order I received required me to submit a support ticket. The response was that I should send the order back to AV for replacement. I sent the order back on 1/12/2012. I have not received the replacement for Order number 18312 as of 1/22/2012.

I have submitted yet another support ticket concerning this matter. Please ship my replacement order....

And feel free to delete this post when the order has been taken care of...

Thanks

Edit: Mail just delivered on 1/23/2012 and NO package from AV....

I'll be tackling the help desk today. We were out of town so I'll be focusing on getting this taken care of today and tomorrow. Please, give me some small room to wiggle when answering I'll also be sorting through hundreds of help desk tickets needing replies on why the payment system was down. If I can thin that herd with a predefined response then I can get to the normal tickets (of which there are few but require actual attention)

This thread can be deleted.

Let's keep it up just in case someone else has an issue where we're slacking/vacationing/in-a-corner-crying. We (my wife and I) tackle these as fast as we can but sometimes a business trip can nearly cripple our response time as properly answering a help desk ticket takes a few more programs than I can pack onto our laptop, so we have to table many of them while we're out until we get back.

any plans to hire more help so the payment system can remain open longer each day?

There are always plans. The trick is finding someone who can/is:

  • Over 18
  • Handle Nicotine (ex-smoker, e-cig user)
  • Non-smoker (can't have the product smelling like smoke)
  • Steady worker (it's not a hard job but a monotonous one, slowing down isn't an option)
  • Someone who can do the work without massive supervision (we are all nose-to-the-grindstone so honest work is a MUST)
  • Must be able to work with some of the worst language/music choices/bad jokes imaginable.

We're looking into just administrative help so we could potentially drop two of those requirements, but to give you an idea of how hard it is to find those qualities we've had 15 people interview and only found 4 that we've had come in for a trial run. Of the 4 that have made it past the interview 2 actually made it through the trial-by-fire-week.

As for JUST administrative help, they will have to have a good knowledge of e-cigarettes and the business within 2 weeks... it's not impossible but we know now it's better to find the right people for the job, and progress, than hire someone that doesn't fit and then we all end up slowing down (this is a very "line item build" system here, one loose cog and everything grinds to a halt)
