Although I am a newbie, my journey through flavor vendors has begun. To date, I have tried about six different vendors each with at least 2 flavors and I use a 1-10 scale.
This is my first attempt at a real review, but both the vendor and his E juice deserve my best efforts; Wil Sutton and his fantastic business, Awesome Clouds (www.awesomeclouds.com), are everything that you would expect a small start-up niche business to be; high quality, customer oriented and always looking to improve.
Let's start with Wil himself; I ended up speaking with Wil as he currently takes either paypal online or, in the alternative, Credit Cards over phone via a Square credit card processing program. Wil is awesome and the epitome of a small business owner and a Southern gentleman. He has provided me with guidance as to both e juice and hardware and has demonstrated trust with a new customer rarely seen in today's world or economy.
I ordered two flavors from Wil, each came in a 30 mm clear bottle with labeling and a separate dropper. Here in is the only area that I have a bit of criticism, the labels seem to fall off after a bit. Of course, since I don't bottle my own E Juice, I don't know what economic, marketing and shipping factors go in to making such labeling decisions and so I would take this piece of criticism with a HUGE grain of salt!
Blackberry Tobacco... OMG, this stuff is da bomb as we say here in SoCal. My wife, who hates ANYTHING tobacco-like being smoked/vaped around her begs me to blow the vapor her way. The flavor is absolutely on target. I have been vaping this with either an Ego C or Ego T (both at the top power setting) and with my beloved Vivi Mini Novas as the clearmizers at 2.4 OHM. This of course is my standard vaping spot.
The Blackberry Tobacco receives a 9 rating for flavor. The blackberry flavor is at the forefront with the tobacco in the background for accent and aftertaste. Wil got this perfect in my book, I simply dont give tens as I dont believe they exist outside of a Platonic heaven, but perhaps I should be giving a 9.9. The Vaper is a solid 6 to 7 (I could probably do better if I lowered the OHM or upped the power but that has to wait for my incoming Ego Twist). The TH was also solid an 8. Now that TH is really impressive as Mr. Sutton advised me that because I take 0 mg of nicotine, it makes getting TH a lot more challenging AND I was his first customer that was a 0 mg nic guy. Overall, I would have to give Blackberry Tobacco a solid 8.75 rating with the understanding that it probably deserves a higher rating than that but I simply am too new to fully appreciate its complexity AND that as a 0 nic guy I may be missing something that would come through better with nic. This flavor has become my ADV in conjunction with HighBrow's French Pipe.
The A&C Rootbeer E Juice is the second one that I have tried of Wil's and Awesome Clouds. I love it. It actually tastes like rootbeer should, although I do notice that the fizz taste to it is menthol. The fact that i really like it surprised me when I realized that it was menthol that gave it the carbonized taste as I have never been a menthol guy ... I HATED menthol cigs. For Flavor I have to give the rootbeer an 8. the throat hit comes in at a 7.5 and the vapor, well that was a little weaker coming in at a 6.5,. but still above average. Overall, the A&C Rootbeer (what the heck does the A&C stand for Wil? answer only if it won't get you into intellectual property issues!) 8.25 rating. Oh I should note that my hardware was the same as it was for the Blackberry Tobacco and of course I am using 0 mg nic.
I would also note that Wil was kind enough to send me a freebie that I have not rated yet as I have not sampled it enough to get there. That freebie was provided without Wil's knowledge that I was going to do a review and I would note that he does not always give freebies but in my case I think it is due in part to the fascination of having a 0 nic customer.
Overall, I love Awesome Clouds' service and their E juices. I love them so much that I have ordered another blackberry tobacco, which I have used up most of the first bottle along with bottles of his Grape and Strawberry dipped in Chocolate offerings.
