Yes it was. I was hoping that this might just might result be the start to a better resolution for all of us. It seems like a knee jerk reaction with some politicians...sheep, I struggle with people who choose to run on sound bytes. At the very least do the research.

It sounds like it could be good for vapers, but we won't know for sure until someone provides more detail or until the regs go into effect. I want to believe the best, but the anti-vaping activists have consistently put out false information about vaping. I don't trust easily when it comes to vaping. I also hate that the government keeps talking about not enforcing the regs when it comes to open systems. It's better than them enforcing against open systems, but there is nothing to stop them from deciding to enforce at any time. The anti-vaping zealots will keep stirring the pot and putting out more and more false negative information. I am sick of being jerked around!

Read that one and another one that was linked from the same page on the same topic.

Will Trump Stop the FDA's May 11 Vape Apocalypse? - Vaping360

The second one pointed out that November might be another really bad day for us. It suggested that Trump might not care any more if he wins reelection, and if he loses the Democrats would be actively hostile. So if the outcome in May is nothing more than the FDA choosing to be less aggressive and focus on pod systems, with the current regs staying in place, that would only buy us another few months.

The only thing that could reliably carry us through into next year would be a written change to the PMTA process that formally wrote a less onerous approval process for open systems and bottled juice into the regulations.

I would Love to be Optimistic when I Hear something like Azar say'n that "they" are going to help Small Businesses thru all this.

But this kinda sums up what I See ...

The agency has promised before to “work with” small companies to help shepherd their applications through the process. However, the regulators have never created a set of published standards and specific requirements for an approved application, let alone a streamlined pathway to approval.
