So after doing research for the past month last night for the first time I decided to build my very first coil from scratch. I screwed around (no pun intended lol) with pre-built coils before and it wasn't too hard to change them but I decided to take my first step and want to share with you guys how it went.

So I built this monstrosity lol and I was originally gonna keep it separated but then I'm like nah it looks like crap cause the spacing is not even

so I pulsed it, pinched it, pulsed again, adjusted the slant so that it's horizontal and adjusted over and over making sure it's not touching the posts or the edge. And came up with this:

then adjusted the left leg a little more pulsed it more adjusted more s...... and then wicked it

then sat there on a couch looking at ECF clouding up the apartment and making the whole place smell like a porn shop as my girl calls it lol

So it's a 24 gauge kanthal a-1 6 wraps with 2.4 diameter pushing out .51 ohms or whatever according to steam engine.

Didn't want to go lower because that sub ohm aspire battery is ideally made for .5 or above.

And sure enough after about an hour of vaping on this my plume veil was nice and cool as opposed to before. Yay

Once my apollo comes in I'm gonna build dual parallel coils but obviously won't fire or test until the batts and meters come. Moving on up in the vaping world. I'm so happy right now

Thou must use an ohm reader or DMM BEFORE putting you put your build on a mod and fire it.

I know I know guys. But ordering it tomorrow along with vtc4's and xtar vp2 charge from rtd vape. The pre-built coils worked and it's a regulated mod so to speak. Same gauge 24 as the pre-builts and I spent like 20 minutes on steam engine configuring things left and right to make certain I was ok. And I was. Yay

If anything I mentioned above was different no way in dark hell would I do it. But wanted to get my feet wet.

Looks very nice. Also, I find steam engine to be very accurate for coil building. I have an ohm reader to be safe though.

Looks really good, I feel like there should be local tutorial classes for building mods and coils...I just dont get itttt
