So in 2018 I was a cloud chaser and had actually quit cigs but then the reports of vapers becoming sick and even dying so I quit and went back to cigs. Now that we know the truth of that I am getting back into vaping. This community helped the first time so I am back to try again.

Some things have changed since then some good some not so good. Many of my past vendors have disappeared but not all. I find myself now more attracted by taste than clouds and am investing in small MTL or restricted DTL pod mods rather than 3 battery 200 watt monsters. Don't know what I am going to do with my past overly large collection of mods and atty's.

I had to throw out hundreds of flavors, and bottles of VG/PG and free base nic and start again. After 4 years in tropical heat the flavors just stunk and the nic was a black coffee color and tasted of pepper bad. But I like nic salts as I never did much cotton to the pepper taste found in free base. I now find I am shooting for .7 to 1 ohms in my builds and vaping from 12 to 25 watts with restricted airflow to enhance the taste. I have resurrected a couple of my better sub ohm vapes but no longer much like the lack of taste found in them. I guess my tastes have changed.

Anyway just wanted to say hello.
Cheers
Steve

Light, heat and oxygen are the enemy. Store expensive nic base in a dark freezer and your safe from all three. Well except open bottles at two thirds safe, but I like a bit of throat hit...

Just because a mod can do 200 watts doesn't mean that it can't do 5 watts, So a lot of them will do great with a MTL or RDL atty.

I hate pods !! They all just end up being more trash on the sidewalk.
In comparison, the atomizer (A7) that I'm using right now is 8 years old, and I'm planning to use it for at least another 8 years.
So all I throw in the trash is a couple of inches of wick & wire once a month.
Batteries last for years when you are only asking them to supply a couple of amps instead of a bunch.
And, e-liquid too when you only use 3-4 ml/day instead of 15-20.
So MTL has it's advantages, besides good flavor.

So enjoy, and make it fun my friend.

I can most always get more than a month before I SHOULD re-wick, and most of my 'wrap and mount a new coil' antics are because I didn't, or didn't want to, remove the old wicking without mangling up the current (no pun intended) coil.

Batteries can last a while, no doubt, if they are used properly and given some TLC. The batts I use put out about 2 and a half Amps of the 20 they are capable of. They are still quite healthy and they are in the at least 3.5 - 4 year age range.

I only vape about a ml a day, and I make my own eliq.
