Hi!
I started vaping three years ago, after being an analog-addict for more than 20 years. I had tried to quit several times during those 20+ years, every time going through several weeks of personal hell ( just like 99 % of my fellow members here at ECF I guess ), and every time going back to smoking again after some days/weeks/months. Switching to e-cigs is without any doubt the easiest way of quitting I know, and I've tried quite a few different strategies throughout the years. One day I was smoking analogs, and the next day I was vaping full time. No weeks of personal hell and bad temper, just a day or two to getting familiar with vaping...
Everything was going super for about four months. I didn't miss the analogs at all, and was a happy vaper. But then one day, one of my colleagues at work offered me an analog... I accepted, and discovered that although it tasted like ....., it made me relax more than the e-cig did. I guess I missed the carbon monoxide or something... During a couple of weeks, I slowly returned to the analogs again.
About a month ago, I decided that enough is enough. So I pulled out my VISA card, and placed a couple of orders for some new and better Chinese hardware, and removed the dust from my trusty old DSE-801, praying that my three year old batteries and atomizers will survive until my new stash arrives. So far, so good, and I'm expecting my eGo-kit to arrive any day now.
The last couple of weeks I've been lurking around here at ECF, trying to catch up on all the exciting things that has happened in the vaping world during my absence. I've spent a lot of time on raidy's extremely fascinating and inspiring genesis thread, and it looks like I'll be a victim of the dreaded modding fever before the end of this year... Well anyway, modding fever is a lot better than being an analog slave. And if modding is what it takes to keep me away from the analogs, then modding it is.
Happy vaping to all!
