I guess I was just wondering if there are others who are tired of the juice battles, especially when flying a lot? I've been a member of this forum since 2009 and vaping - and quit smoking - for over 5 years.

This is going to sound strange, but I've gone back to 808 cigalikes for work and travel. They're much better than before, and I was getting sick of all the leaking on airplanes, including international flights. Have some small 808s with a few batteries with no lights, and I'm pretty good to go. (I reload my carts every couple weeks or so, so it's pretty inexpensive.)

At home I use low nic liquid with Spinner Twists, as well as an itaste VV V3 that also lets me check resistance so I know what's a good level to set on the twists. Over the years I have used all kinds of set ups; tanks, cartos, etc., but leaking while traveling was a mess. Now, no liquids or cartos or clearos to worry about when on the road.

Have been using the Aspire ET BDC glassomizers, which I really like. I've never gone for mods, etc., just because of the sensitivity for my wife, kids, and now, grandkids. Didn't want to frighten them! Even my Ego styles are limited to 650mah. I have a 900, but it's just too long, so it sits in a drawer. Might load up an ET that holds about 3ml, and use the 900 when I have a long drive. The Itaste VV V3 is the longest battery I have, but it's nice (800mah) also in the car on the road, can plug it into my USB and use it as a pass through, plus I like it for the ohm checker.

I know, I've gone back to the dark side, but I'm really much more relaxed with small shirt-pocket vapes that I can take anywhere for stealth vaping - and for leak-less vaping.

I have had good luck with White Cloud Cirrus 3 batteries, and the clear draw carts refill easily and put out decent vapor (and you can see the juice level) - and you can get them at 36mg, which is great on planes for a quick hit (They even have 54mg available, but I'm not going there!). The battery is only 57mm long, and lasts longer than most other short 67 mm batteries from others. The batteries have no light and are about cigaret length with cart. WC DOES NOT PLAY WELL WITH OTHERS!!!! Can't be recharged by other chargers, and batteries and carts are NOT interchangeable with others. Same connection size, just different voltages.

V2 and Bull Smoke have decent batteries and carts. Only bought small and standard batteries. I have a three small Vapor4Life stealth batteries (200mah) with no lights - about same 67-68mm size as other short batteries, but their carts are really bad.. I do not recommend anything but their batteries. All carts and batteries are interchangeable with these 3 companies. Watch for the half price sales.. That's how I got my stock of carts, which I now refill.

Mig Cigs has the best battery out there - a 4.2 constant volt battery. But, their standard is 110mm long - too long for me to use anywhere but at home. All other carts, except White Cloud which does weird things, work on Mig Cigs. And Mig Cigs only has manual batteries. I have found the auto batteries easiest to use for 808s. I charge the Mig Cigs only on their USB charger.

I didn't even mess with a PCC, since it's just one more thing to charge, and you can get three batteries for the price of a PCC.

I use 24-28mg juice in the 808s because I seldom get long times to vape. At home I use 6-8mg juice. The Apires and VVs kick out much more vapor, so I've really dropped the nic level.

In the photo below, it shows the Mig Cigs standard battery, V2 standard battery, Bull Smoke shorty, and White Cloud Cirrus 3. You can get a pretty good idea if size. I only use the shorty and Cirrus 3 batteries at work, shopping and on airplanes. Hope this carries some info that's of value, even when the general trend right now is to bigger mods and clouds of vapor. I'm enjoying this new season. Seems like after 5 years of vaping, I'm back full circle.

I never left the 808s...they're just so damned convenient.

I started with V4L in '09? Then moved on to Bloog when the maxx fusions came out. Those were great, but it seems Bloog has gone to .... based upon the last few batteries I ordered...

Does anyone make an 808 comparable to the old Bloog maxx fusions?? I'm intrigued by the Mig Cigs but prefer an auto battery...

I've been using the auto 808s from Revolution Vapor lately, they suck but are cheap. Their carts are very good though for the price.

I always keep a couple of disposable cigalikes handy, just in case. I wouldn't take an APV with me in certain situations such as music festivals, as I don't want to be worrying about damage or leaks. With a cheap disposable I can just relax and forget about it!

I started with 808's a while ago, and considering getting another now!

I started with Smokeless Image Volts. Used them off and on for 8 months but I finally gave them all to my son-in-law. I find now that a mini ego with a Evod or T4 size clearo is plenty small enough. Can't see me going all the way back, but you never know. I don't think that there is ever a "dark side" in vaping, so I would not say it is out of the realm of possibility. Your picture does kind of make me long for the good ol' days.

I know they are not 808s, but I have a couple automatic GSL batteries that I got with kits, I clean and refill the cartos for these now, as well as occasionally buy a 5 pack from our local convenience store. I also have a couple manual 510 batteries that I put vision Nanos on and I just ordered a couple kanger T4s for them.

I really like the convenience and size of the cigalikes when out and about, at work, etc. The VV batteries, evods, protanks, and the like are fine for when I am around the house most of the time, but, I am one of those guys searching for the best cigalike setup and expect that 75% or more of my vaping is on small profile setups.

Same here. I have heard lots of great things about Halo's G6, V4L and Smokeless Image. I just have a hard time spending money on something that may be another fail. I would want a clearo and not a carto, like the G6 mini tanks or the Volt mini clearos.

I started with 808's but soon got caught up in the hype of the latest mods, the greatest throat hit, the most vapor..you know. After years of chasing the dream, I was being tempted to go back to cigarettes just for convenience sake. Instead, I went back to my trusty 808's. I do a lot of road travel and they're easy to use in the car, they drop in my purse with no worry and I don't get incredulous looks when I pull one out for a vape. Love 808's...think I'll stick with em.

After losing one of my Spinner/EVOD combos yesterday, I realized I was glad to save my 808s. When I first started vaping a couple months ago, I bought a HALO G6 starter with automatic batteries. Bought a bunch of carts and juice as well. The next day, V2 had starter kits for 50% off, so I bit the bullet and bought one with manual batteries.

Today, I've decided to send my HALO equipment to my sister and keep the V2 stuff for myself. I'll say this about V2 carts, though. I hated them. No throat hit and a bad flavor (1.2% Red and 0.6% Congress; I liked the Congress more, strangely enough). However, I've since picked up some ESmart tanks and other than heating up quickly, work just great on my V2 manual batteries (I'm vaping HALO's Freedom Juice in an ESmart on a V2 battery as I type this; Spinner is on the charger). While I'm sending away my HALO gear, I just LOVE Tribeca. I just think my sister will be happier with automatic batteries.

The auto batteries are horribly convenient when you want a quick toot. I didn't stay long on the cigalikes because I personally don't like the taste of the polyfill in them. My collection was getting to big and I needed space so I just threw a lot of the carto-tips away. I don't mind what people think of me in public and my job doesn't involve anything that would damage my gear or that I need to hide from anyone so that isn't an issue for me.

I do have mini eGos and some 808 Spinners along with a good variety of toppers so if I was concerned about losing or breaking something; I have that gear to take out with me but I agree with the others, there is no right or wrong way to vape. You have to find your own journey, start with the cigalikes; move forward, backward and side to side because just because 12 other people told you to get something.............doesn't mean it is right for you.

I am still looking for the right "clearo" which is why I ordered the T4s, should be here today or tomorrow. The Vision Nanos are OK but the resistance is not accurate - it says 2.8 on them but they measure 3.5 with an ohm meter - maybe I am measuring them wrong but I don't think so. The little black manual batteries I bought put out a solid 3.7 volts and seem to last long enough, but the flavor from the nanos is not as good as from the protank or evods (go figure huh). I am hoping the 2.5 ohm T4s will vape a little better, if not I will keep searching for the right combo. Maybe an eroll will be next, Ill post once I try the T4s to let everyone know how those work with a cigalike setup.

I still love my Halo G6 kit, even though I moved to Triton for the bigger throat hit and vapor production. They have a great little hard shell carrying case that has cutouts for two batteries (up to 78mm) and four cartos. It's cheaper than most, too, at only ten bucks. If I want to carry my mini-tank, I have to put it into a battery spot because the carto cutouts are just a hair too short. Even though the cartos don't provide the performance of my Triton, they're quite good for out-and-about. The 4 carto/2 batt capacity of the case is perfect for when I'm outside most of the day, especially since I usually have an assembled G6 e-cig in the same pocket as well - that's 3 batts and 5 cartos, in all.

I have 2 auto and 1 manual G6 battery. I prefer the auto batteries with the cartos (just seems more natural for a cigalike, I guess) and the manual with my mini-tank (it's like a little miniature Triton!)

Even though I'm going to begin delving into mods someday soon, I'll still enjoy exploring the world of cigalikes. I'd like to try V2, Green Smoke, Bloog, and maybe a few others I've heard great things about here at ECF.

I can happily suggest the eRoll. Best cigalike experience I ever tried. If you do buy it, spend the extra $7.00 to get the PCC case. It's a soft leather case that protects the PCC and has a slot for an additional assembled unit.

I stuck with 808's for over a year, though not the cigalikes. My equipment is 510 now, but only because I desired a bottom feeder. Lov the 808 automatics.
