i bought a 510 starter kit a couple of years back from innovapor when one of my friends showed me his Blue cig. i thought it was cool and wanted to try. i got the starter kit with the pre-filled carts and some of innovapors "house" juice and was completely turned off. the juice tasted like plastic to me and while killing the nicotine craving i could not see myself sticking with it (and didn't...)

a few weeks back i was bored and started googling juice vendors and came across DFWVapor and ordered some new juice for the hell of it. MAN!!! i dont know if the juices are getting better, or if the original juice i got was just "blah", but i am back on the 510 and analog free for 2 weeks and counting. Am currently enjoying autumn moon and spearmint flavors from DFW and cant wait until they are vaped to try some more.

innovapor 510 starter kit is still kicking after being stuck in a box for at least a year and a half. i went on vaporkings and ordered a 510 starter kit for my dad who has been smoking for over 40 years. he is officially analog free for a week today. i am so glad to get him off the cancer sticks and hope he sticks with it. he is destroying some bavarian creme from DFW (which i tried and tastes exactly like black & milds???) at the moment, and loving it.

I had tried to quit several times unsuccessfully even after i bought the starter kit. i wish i stuck with it a bit longer on my original purchase a couple years back and tried some different juices to see what worked for me. i can totally see myself sticking with this and am finding i enjoy vaping more than smoking now, not to mention feeling better after a couple of weeks not smoking. i had been smoking for about 16 years prior - pack a day marlboro reds...

i have lurked on ecf for a while and have learned a bunch from reading threads on this site. thank you ECF!!!

Good for you, krs-2!
Your 510 story is about the same as mine. I started vaping about 2 years ago, but couldn't get any satisfaction from the juice. Eventually came to find the biggest problem was the juice itself. (I started with the worst possible tastes one could ever hope to avoid. I still have them, and they are worse today!) Plus, my nic level was too low.

I still use a 510 PT for testing new flavs, but upgraded slghtly to Ego batt with Fluxomizers. Also 24mg nic, and I'm doing pretty fine now. I can do this. You can do this with the right hardware and juice.

Congrats on sharing 'the health' with your dad! It's IMPORTANT!!
(My dad died of lung cancer before ecigs were ever around.)

Congrats to both you and your Dad.
I love reading these kind of stories, esspecially when your Dad was a smoker for 40 years.
I was at it for some 30+ years until I found the e-sig and I quit my las t one 5 weeks ago, and loving life.
I also am trying to 'convert' the smokers at my job, and it is working...

Good luck, and I'm glad you tried again. Keep it up !!

Sorry to hear about your dad Mike. My dad was getting worse and worse everyday. coughing and weezing. I dont know if the damage is already done but I still feel 100X better getting him off those things. he is already feeling better, breathing easier and sleeping better after a week.

i too have been looking around at upgrading to something as there are some things that bother me about the 510. the battery makes great vapor and flavor when it is fully charged but dies down very fast imo. i am still using regular old attys with carts and seems to work ok but there are so many new things now compared to when i got my first 510. The tanks look great for not having to top off carts all day long. i dont really "get" cartos yet but everyone seems to have gone over to them. the ego sounds good too if the battery lasts longer.

either way, glad to be back on the ecig!
