Hiya gang. Been a long time since I have been here. I started vaping back in 2010 and it worked great for about a year. Then a series of circumstances intervened and I went back to the smoke. However a free starter kit coupon this week, out of nowhere, made me decide to try again. I know how people feel about about Big tobacco-backed e-cigs, but the Green smoke is actually working nice and I am back in the vape game. And that's all that matters right now. Probably not going to go heavy like before where I became a hobbyist with flavors, home mixing/boosting, hardware mods etc. Gonna keep my eye on the prize this time and keep it simple.

Anyway, I see much has changed in the business and it didn't take long for the media to make us out to be criminals, just like when we smoke. Some things never change. Not sure if anyone will remember me or if I will remember them from the V4L crowd....but hello to all. :)

I was one of the lucky ones who started vaping in early 2010 and immediately cut down from over two packs a day to one after meals and a couple with morning coffee. I smoked about 6 a day for two years after I started vaping. I later realized how pointless it was to smoke and and vape, so I quit the cigs. I never looked back and had no problems with cigarette cravings while vaping.

I still vape and people sometimes ask me why I don't quit vaping. I have to explain the differences, the positive studies, and the lack of negative studies on vaping. Yeah, vaping is probably worse than not vaping, but I'm betting that whatever negatives there are it's not something that's going to take me out on its own.

I'm down from 24mg juice to 6mg and had no trouble with cravings with making that move over a month's time. I'm also happy with thin vapor that resembles cigarette smoke. No huge clouds are necessary for me.

Finding the right juices is a big help. I settled down with Dekang and Hangsen just because they are light and the flavors are good without being cloying. I get tired of heavily flavored juices in a hurry and have to cut them to be able to vape them (I hate to waste juices just because the flavor is overwhelming). If a juice tastes good in spite of the heavy flavor I just add a little of it to a tank of Hangsen and vape it here and there until I eventually use it up.
