I prefer the VTC mini becuase of the software upgradeability and the spring loaded center pin and the TC capabilities. But I prefer the Kanger subtank mini to the one that comes on the VTC mini.
With that said I just ordered a Subox mini as a backup myself.

23.99 at vapor beast mod only.

I've got an istick 30W that i love as a backup to my 50W. I just inherited a coolfire IV from the guy who owns my vape shop too. It's very nice and compact like the 30w istick, slightly less capacity but can fire an additional 10w over the istick if that's important. But if you're not opposed to one with a removable battery the subbox by kanger goes to 50w I think, and since you can get 3100mah batteries now it will pass both the coolfire4 and istick 30w for capacity while remaining the same size.

I'm looking to buy a back up Mod. I currently have an Eleaf Istick 60 W with a Herakles tank but would like another setup as a back up. I'm new to Mod devices and would appreciate any suggestions and recommendations. Preferably I would like a solid setup for under $100.00 Thanks in advance fellow vapors.

I also use the Istick60tc. I liked it and I bought a second. The second ohm meter is .15 ohms off.

I would recommend the Evic VTC MINI or the IPV D2.

Istick 30w or 40wTC. Both come with a built in batteries. Best buys out there in my opinion.

I would include the Innokin Coolfire4 in the top shelf mods with internal batteries.

I will say the istick40tc I had had the most accurate ohm meter of any mod I ever used.

Would also vote for the VTC Mini
gave both of mine away to family members trying to quit smoking along with my VT
just ordered the Target 75W to go with my X Cube II

I like the looks of that Target 75W. I got tagged to a give-away for them, so hopefully I'll get lucky! :D
Just in case anyone is interested, here's the link to the give-away thread:
