i am getting an 808. my questions are
1- what is the battery life of an 808 battery. i need to know so i have an idea of when to order new batteries down the road without being left high and dry without an 808 to vape.
2- i bought some blank cartomizers that i intend to fill with my favorite juice. question is how many times can i refill a blank cartomizer before i have to replace it? what about the pre-filled cartomizers, how long before they can no longer be refilled and used?
thanks in advance.

I bought a regular kit (standard KR808, 280 mah) and 3 XL (380 mah) batteries at the beginning of February. One regular battery was crappy from the beginning and it was replaced. Since then all the batteries are still in good working order. YMMV. The carts I fill and keep refilled until they get boggy (not burned). I then run them under hot water, blow them out, rinse again and reblow. Let them dry completely and refill. I cannot wait to try out the cartos without filler, as it seems the filler gets funky way before the atomizer coil burns out.

I really haven't had a battery go bad on me yet. My best advise is to just have one or two Passthroughs at your ready at all times. At least if you are left "high and dry" (with no working bats) then you know you're still in business until your new ones come in.

In regard to cartos - my personal experience is they work good for about 4 to 5 uses. I'm sure there will be others here that will dispute that. I've read some people use them 20+ times. My theory is once a person is no longer "smoking" and regains a better sense of taste then it's easier to tell when a carto is falling short on taste. The way I look at it - Even if you use a carto just one time it's still cheaper than buying cigarettes so why sweat over using them beyond their usefulness. Just get into a routine where each payday you restock/buy enough until your next payday.

when you say cartomizers are good for 4-5 refills are you referring to pre-filled cartomizers or blanks? 4-5 refills only for blanks seems kind of low.

I'm talking about filled and/or blanks - as I said previously - there will be those that disagree with me. This is only my personal experience with refilling cartos. Trust me I am not telling anyone to discard them earlier then one feels is necessary. I'm just letting the OP know my personal experience and thoughts. As I said before if a carto works for one individual more so than me than that is Great!

I hate to tell you this but get that other battery back...or buy two more. With batteries you need to have one charging (at your ready) at all times. To avoid the situation you are in now.

To answer your question - to fully charge a dead battery you are probably looking at a couple hours (at least)...but you can prob start using it sooner (just won't be fully charged).

well i got my 808 today and used it non-stop for about two or three hours chain vaping. now when i inhale on it the blue light on the tip of the 808 battery just blinks. does this mean the battery is dead and has to be re-charged?

It does not mean the battery is dead, it's empty.
Recharge it till the light on the charger turns green.

You might want to check the cartomizer.
non-stop vaping for 2 - 3 hours will deplete the cartomizer of liquid.
Make sure you refill it. otherwise the fill will burn and you need to throw it away.

thanks for your quick reply. i am okay i bought luckily by mistake a battery called a pass thru that hooks up to the usb on my computer so i am vaping away as i sit here on my computer.
curious it seems to work better than the non-pass thru batteries, is that because i am getting more voltage on the computer usb terminal?

I personally love my Passthough. Its always consistant. No worrying about recharging it. Get yourself a car adapter so you can plug it in to your cigarette lighter...also get an an adapter for your house (wall outlet). Then you don't have to worry about having your computer with you to use it.

Madvapes.com sells each for like 10 bucks a pop. Well worth the money.

Also - PT's tend to short out so be careful with it....so here's a tip - curl the end of the input wire to the housing and tape it in place with some electrical tape. It will keep the wire from twisting (at the input base) and it will last longer.

I always have 3 batteries in constant rotation. Two charge while I'm vaping one. Also, I just started using my new PT, and I love it. Those 2 batteries on charge are just sitting there with nothing to do.:p

Before I started using the PT, a cartomizer would last about 2 hours, and a recharge would take about 4 hours. I have multiple battery chargers, including one in the car and one in an electrical outlet, so I'm always ready when I'm not near my computer.

Agreed... you'll want at least 3 batteries.

I have 4 standard 280mah KR808D-1 and keep them in steady rotation.

Well, I did until I picked up a Cigeasy Elegant. Basically looks like a Riva/eGo, but is threaded for KR808D-1.

My Elegant will last me a day and half before needing charged. Previously I would go through 3 standard batteries during that time frame.

I still carry a standard battery for backup.

As far as how long a carto will last... really depend on the carto and the juice.

'Premium' cartos like Cigeasy Gold Label Delux, or V4L Premium & Coolcarts will, in my experience, last longer than the cheap generics. My preference is the Cigeasy carto.

A big factor in carto life is the juice. I've found that custom juice like Tasty Vapor will kill my Cigeasy cartos after about 4 fills, even if I try to wash 'em. If I use Cigeasy's juice I can get 8-10 refills easy on a blank carto. I usually wash/dry/refill my Cigeasy cartos once or twice and get about another 8 -10 refills before the coil is toast and it gets tossed. If you make sure to keep your carto wet it will extend the life. Also, if you start seeing dark liquid in your carto, wash it immediately to avoid that funky burnt taste.

This one?

Car Adapter for USB Chargers

I am not clear on what you would get for the 808 as far as AC adapter; will anything work or does it have to be the right amps/volts/watts whatever?
