Back Up Supplies?

I got my SLB Riva kit yesterday and am enjoying it. Over a week vaping and I'm still figuring this whole thing out.

The box was marked "eGo." I know that I need to order some xtra juice and an extra atomizer and some cartridges. Is there a model number for the atomizer or can I just order something for a 510 eGo? Want to make sure that I'm ordering the right atomizer.

Should I get more than 1 spare atomizer? How long should I expect them to last?

I'm content with the one that they provided but am curious if I should try a LR Atty and/or a drip tip for dripping?

Also am curious if it will be worth it to order a bag for recharging. Read a previous post but didn't really get a definitive answer on if I should be afraid to charge overnight.

Thanks for any advice you may be able to give.

Any 510 atomizer will work but i've found the Cisco atomizers from avidvapor to be the best (I also use a riva). Most people do not use cartridges and prefer to drip onto their atomizer or use cartomizers. I'd recommend picking up some Boge LR (510) cartomizers and trying those. ATM I'm loving dripping on a Cisco LR 901 on my riva (requires adapter) with an empiremods dripshield. Definitely pickup a 510 driptip as well, they are very useful for atomizers and cartomizers and cost under two dollars.

Multiple spares of everything! Though don't go too far overboard or you'll end up with lots of extra hardware for something you don't use anymore. I've got probably 50 empty cartridges for for 901 atties. Haven't used a 901 in months and may never again. The 510 dual coil cartos are my favorite now. I'm using them on a bottom feeder that I don't even put liquid in anymore because of the cartos. So that may change as well.
So in short, be stocked up for the near future. But don't plan for too far ahead because things are always changing and your current favorite may not be in 6 months.
And an atty may last weeks, months or days. Or be DOA.
I think the eGo is a 510 connection. Someone will correct me if not.

You'll come back to the 901 from time to time Boise. The more delicate favors love the 901. tobacco, likes more heat it seems. The only thing that I keep a whole lot in stock is liquid. Works with everything.

1. IMO it's best to have at least 1 spare atty and battery. If you have to order attys and batts online, I'd probably buy more than 1 of each.

2. You're good to go with any 510 parts. You might also want to give tanks and cartos a try (e.g. XL clearomizers and dual coil cartomizers). To use a tank system, all you have to do is get a 510-T atty and some empty tanks.

3. I've never dripped. It just seems like too much work. I hate having to refill tanks... I'd go crazy if I had to do that 5 times as often, but it does seem like a quick and easy way to try new flavors. I'd go ahead and buy a drip tip. You never know, you might like it. Even if you don't, at least you'll be able to quickly try new liquids and flavors later on.

4. Normal attys usually come with 1 - 3 month warranties. LR attys often come with NO warranties.

5. Don't be afraid to charge overnight.

After 3 days without power (thanks to "Irene"), I was really glad to have a couple of spare batteries for my eGo and a car charger They are now in storage waiting for that next unexpected event...

I always have at least 2 back up atomizers. I have had some fail on me right away.

I don't stockpile on juice because I have a brick and mortar 20 minutes away for emergencies.

I am assuming you got the SLB Riva 510, not 901

Cartomizers - I recommend you learn on Boge standard resistance before you try any hotter or more more exotic. Boge are the most popular cartos for 510 threaded devices. Many like the hotter 2.0 LR ones but I recommend you learn on the more forgiving standard res - won't singe as easily. I use 80PG/20Vg juices in them and can get at least a week use out of each, sometimes 2 weeks.

Atomizers - at least have 3 total. 2 to alternate as you clean one, and one total spare

Cartridges for atomizer - you need one (unless you melt it or something). Buy the cheap precut blue foam stuffing for 510 carts from strictlyejuice.com. On a full fill, remove foam, fill juice cup 1/2 way, insert the foam tapered end first, press down into the liquid to wet it (an unbent smooth small paperclip helps). Reposition even with the top edge of the juice cup. Top off with 2-3 drops or however many it needs to look damp on top and not a puddle.

Battery - If you only have one battery consider a 2nd, if you have 2 consider a 3rd. The Riva 510 SE batteries (Eastmall ones I believe) at Liberty-Flights.com are higher voltage than SLB Riva 510 but have a silver color top instead of brass. I do not know if their other Riva 510 loose batteries are the new 3.7v ones yet. Or another interesting battery is the Ego 3-stage (3 voltage) at Gotvapes but it costs 2x as much as a Riva battery.

Charging cables - at least 2 if you have multiple batteries and one for work.

PCC - depends how fast you drain a battery. And if you get a second battery you will not have to charge overnight. I charge all of my slim ecigs overnight but I usually charge one of my Rivas in the evening and take it off when it is done charging.

PT - good for an emergency backup if you have a suitable power supply. A normal PT needs a 2amp AC to USB (not a PC's USB or battery charger AC to USB). The kind of PT with an inline real battery you have to charge a bit first supposedly is OK on a PC's USB but you may not be able to vape it until it charges a bit.

Juice - BUY MORE JUICE. New vapers are the ones most likely to run out of juice. Don't assume juice will only take a couple of days to arrive. I recommend you order more from a couple of places.

for Astatine - Bummer!! I freaked out before the fact (since we lose power easily and once for 4 days) and ordered an 11,000mah new Trent IMP-1000 power pack (a portable USB power pack). It arrived Saturday and needed 7 hours of charging on AC - I got barely 6.5 hours of charging into it and the power went out. So WHEW!! Fortunately we only lost power for 16 hours and then got it back for 2 and then lost it for another 4 so the power pack was plenty for recharging my batteries.

I would definitely have a backup charger. They don't cost much and if your charger goes your SOL.
